PrintToday's playoff matchups are New Orleans Saints at San Francisco 49ers at 4:30 p.m. ET on FOX, and Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos at the New England Patriots at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
Can the 49ers slow Drew Brees and the Saints? Can a team quarterbacked by Alex Smith reach the NFC title game? Can Tebow-Mania live for another week? Is Tom Brady headed a step closer to another Super Bowl?
All of these questions will be answered today. Here are some predictions for you to peruse. Which teams do you think will survive today? SB Nation's Andrew Sharp also ranked the potential Super Bowl XLVI matchups from 1-16.

What’s going on with Chris Mara? He was neck and neck for the GM job with the GMen. Obviously it went to JR. Since then I haven’t heard anything. Even now with Marc Ross getting some looks, you’d figure that he would have been next man on the totem pole.

I just read this article on Lombardi and him leaving the NY Giants.

It got me thinking of all the assistant coaches that have worked for the NY Giants and have done extremely well as head coaches of other teams like Lombardi, Landry, and Sean Payton. In the article it referenced the great Wellington Mara advising Lombardi to take the Green Bay head coaching job because he was morally committed to Howell.
Fast forward to today and kinda reminds me of how TC is hanging around. Yes, TC has a winning record and a SB and there has been arguments on BBV, on how the Giants are too loyal that it is counterproductive.
It's bad policy to fire a winning coach because you think an asst might be better
On the other hand, if you believe you have on field talent and you have a losing record the coach should go. And if you think that talent is the issue, the GM should go.
That’s not the case with this team. My only worry is that ownership is too involved in whether TC stays as coach. A GM that has his job at risk is a much keener observer than an owner whose opinion can change easily based on emotional things.
It’s already a wrap… might as well not show up tomorrow.

It’s about to go down (yes, like the Catalina Wine Mixer), and I’ve had my whiskey and made my beer run. The family is in turmoil, I think I’m about to be employed again and the IRS . . . we don’t want to talk about the IRS.
But none of that matters. I just ordered my daughter her first piece of custom NFL gear, and I thought she was going to go Carolina Panthers with ‘Newton’ and ‘1’ on the back . . . but no. She went for Big Blue and ‘Cruz’ and ‘80’.
In 3 or 4 hours, I’ll know who we have to face in the championship game, and I will be rooting hard, loud, and long for my old hometown team, the San Francisco 49ers.

Well in the last game against Denver They switched to a 3 4 after the 2nd Quarter
Held them to 83 yrds rushing after that but they did install a 4 3 this year

The reason the o line is getting beat up, is because they have 0 respect for tebow, so they are playing mostly man with limited help and are stacking the.box, which results in too many defenders for thr o line to handle.
