PrintNew York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys. A season filled with ups and downs comes down to this. The winner of Sunday night's game between these two talented, but flawed and inconsistent teams goes to the playoffs. The loser goes home for another unsatisfying off-season.
What will happen? Your guess is as good as mine. As we have talked about all week, these teams are 8-7 for a reason and this will be the first time since the merger that the NFC East champion finishes with less than 10 victories. That, incidentally, is a fact the winning side won't give a hoot about once the game is over.
Mood Music: I kept listening to a haunting version of Abba's 'Winner Takes It All' while trying to choose. If you want more upbeat mood music, try any of these.

The Last Meeting
The Giants won, 37-34, just three weeks ago. You remember it well: The Giants trailing 34-22 before rallying for two season-saving scores in the final moments. Then, Jason Pierre-Paul blocking a Dan Bailey field goal to preserve the victory after a Tom Coughlin timeout negated Bailey's first effort, which split the uprights.
Here is some of what was said following the comeback:
:"That's [the comeback] what we expected to do and that's what we did," Manning said. "I don't think I ever feel pressure when I'm playing football,. I try to make plays ... It's exciting, it's fun."
This is the third straight time the Giants have won in the new Cowboys Stadium.
"We've found ways to win. We've had some wild games here over the years and none wilder than this one," Manning said. "Great job by our guys."

If the D line plays the way they did last week
the G-men will win. But please, for the love of GOD, we have to do a better job of stopping the run. I don’t wanna see the rush get neutralized because Jones or Morrison gashes us for over 150 yds. And the offense has to execute better, stop with these maddening 3 and outs. And to the WR’s, this aint volley ball, stop with the batted balls please! And to the O-line, do what you did last time around, keep Eli clean!!!!!!! Happy New Year and hopefully we can prepare for who we’ll face in the playoffs after tonight.

Watched America's game yesterday...
The background music gives me goosebumps.

All those America's Game programs are great. I love them.
And Strahan tells the story of the Giants as well as anyone in any of them.
Some of my favorite “episodes” (other than the 3 Giants) would be the 1994 49ers, 2002 Bucs, 2001 Pats, 1973 Colts, 1974 Steelers, 2005 Steelers.
There are other good ones but these come to mind. Some of the individuals on them do a tremendous job of drawing me in and transporting me back to their team and championship. Truly a special program IMO

Between watching that Gaga thing and Dick Clark talk...I almost didn't make it..
To the ball drop thing…Then I had to wait until after all these nit-wits around here shot their fireworks off..That took an hour and a half..So it wasn’t until 1:30am until I could hit the hay..I watched thousands of dollars go up in smoke..haha

On a side note. live just north of Dallas. It will be a divided house, Big Blue on one side, Cowgirls on the other. My daughter directs the fans to their watching area. And keeps us seperate until halftime. Lots of fun. BTW, Boys fans are very quite, very strange.

Question for Ed
Giants website lists Osi injuries as ankle / knee. I have been wondering if its not the knee that has been the bigger problem. After he sustained the ankle injury, he showed no problems walking off the field, none. Comments??
