PrintWell, today is the day. The New York Giants -- and all NFL teams -- have to be down to 53 players by 6 p.m. ET. Use this as an Open Thread throughout the day to discuss cuts.
In all honesty, I won't be at the computer much today from noon or so until late this evening. When you guys learn about cuts, add them to the thread via the comments.
One request. Let's please NOT get a whole bunch of different 'cuts' Fanposts' going. You want to report a cut, or discuss the cuts, do it in this thread. That will be much less confusing for everyone.
By the way, From Jeff Roberts at The Bergen Record and Mike Garafolo of the Star-Ledger, here are the cuts thus far:
DE Ayanga Okpokowuruk, OL Ike Ndukwe, OL Jim Cordle, WR/KR Darius Reynaud, K Rhys Lloyd, S Jerrard Tarrant, De Craig Marshall, LB Adrian Tracy. Ralph Vacchiano of the Daily News reports that Chris Hopkins can be added to the list of cuts.
I have to admit, I am a little surprised by the cut of Tracy.

I would be sad any other year, but this year's lb crop look very promising
and Tracy was avg at best – even against 2s and 3s
it’s a tough loss, b/c I had hopes for the guy too, another Kiwi type backup, but ahlast
it wasn’t meant to be. But that means we keep an extra LB :)

They didn’t throw to him or let him run at all and he struggled blocking. I’ve said all along that Eli needs all the targets he can find so we need a FB who can catch and run every now and then to surprise defenses.

Cutting Tracy means that there's a 95% chance Herzlich makes the roster.
We have NO depth at SLB otherwise. After Kiwi, it was Sintim, then Tracy, then Herzlich.

Interesting analysis be Deion on NFL network. Said that some ints last year because of tipped balls, which we knew. ALSO said that BOTH ints against bears HIS fault. I tend to agree, no matter what Coughlin says. Deion says he likes and supports Eli, but that he HAS to play better. I’d say the best corner in the game knows what he’s talking about.

A lot of people had the Giants taking him.
6’6, 275, and surprisingly soft hands for a “blocking” TE.
In fact, there was talk before the draft of a team taking him and letting him play blocking TE until he was big enough to play LT.
