The New York Giants' six-game losing streak against the Philadelphia Eagles is over. The Giants went to Philadelphia Sunday and defeated the heavily-favored Eagles, 29-16
The Giants (2-1) used big-play offense, and a defense that was both opportunistic is creating turnovers and terrific in defending short-yardage and goal line situations to earn the victory.
Stars of the game for the Giants have to be Victor Cruz (3 catches, 110 yards, two touchdowns), Aaron Ross (two interceptions) and Eli Manning (four touchdown passes) .
The Giants also knocked Michel Vick out of the game with a broken right hand. Ending up in a victory formation at the end of the game on the Lincoln Financial Field turf, though, was the highlight of this game for the under-manned Giants.
The Giants led early, 14-0, but the score was just 14-13 at halftime. The Eagles led, 16-14, after three quarters, but the Giants scored the game's final 15 points on a tremendous 28-yard touchdown catch by Cruz, an 18-yard screen pass to Ahmad Bradshaw and a two-point conversion run by Brandon Jacobs.
