If you are sick of seeing DeSean Jackson's punt return...

...and you have some time to kill, pump yourself up for this week's Eagles game with a not too distant trip down memory lane:

Game of the Week, 9-16-2006

Giants vs Eagles, Week 2, 2006 in Philly.  Giants were down 17 in the fourth quarter, but we all know what happened next.  A fortunate fumble recovery here, a phenomenal touchdown catch by Amani Toomer there, and a clutch drive by young Eli to send it to OT before the Giants took it home.

That final drive in regulation also included a play that was eerily similar to the famous play from SBXLII: Eli eludes what looks to be a sack and finds the Giants' backup receiver, Tim Carter, down the middle of the field for a critical gain of 20.

Game of the Week video available on Hulu. There are lots of other great Giants videos on there as well. Enjoy!

Nice man thanks for this reminder. Eli and Plax used to torch the Eagles on the reg…who’s gonna step up this week? Hopefully Jacobs and Ballard.

Win ugly.

Toomer getting carried off the field

After having one of his best games ever…. “I ain’t gettin no IV” (he did end up getting one). This is why he’s the f*ckin man.
Have the full game on DVD and remember that day in 2006 like it was yesterday.

I remember that too, TAWD. :-)

We need that Eli tomorrow. I really feel he has to be the difference for us to win. I would like to see us accomplish the other things all of us have talked about that are necessary to win, but if Eli can make the wideouts we have better, that’s what will be the difference, IMO.

20 for 29, 280ish, 2 TD’s, 0 TO’s.

If I am being negative please, don't let it fool you, I am an optimist at heart and I can prove it.

I remember this....

Was dating a girl from Ohio who was here for the yr on some kinda nature thing through her school . She would monitor the Piping plovers and shoot deer with birth control out in East Quogue LI.

Only problem she had a TV that used “rabbit ears” for reception and channel 5 was not an option. So like " Simms " I sat in my car for 3 hours and lost my mind.

What a streak of three games, that is a real impressive streak. It pisses me off that my favorite franchise hasn’t won the big one but when that’s the only thing people can come up to say to try & knock the Eagles it’s easy to brush it off now days. Also don’t kid yourself with your teams injuries there is no chance in hell you beat us this year, you can only dream about it.

what more has to be said, i would trade 6

straight losses to you for a superbowl anyday,

Its the same argument over and over and over…you’re right, when a team has to go back 5 years to a memory of a win, that’s not a great sign…

See the thing is, we know the Eagles are gonna win the SuperBowl. Maybe not this season, but sometime, in the near future, the Eagles will win the big game.
