Hixon going down, adds to what appears to be an injury plagued season for the Giants. Eli Manning's inexplicable early season struggles have not made things any easier either. Call me an optimist, but we still do have some talent at WR... maybe no hall of famers.. but guys who can get the job done. Great QB's like Manning Sr , Brady and Brees have made a career of throwing to good but not great recievers. Not that I lump Manning Jr in that category.
We do have Cruz , Thomas , Jernigan in addition to Nicks and Maningham... Beckum when he does get healthy , will be a decent recieving option and so will Barden.
This will be a big challenge for Eli and Gilbride and I hope they are able to make it work. If not , expect teams to commit to stopping the run, double team Nicks and watch as our offence racks up 3 and outs.
