ESPN is out with its Total QBR after Week 2 of the 2011 NFL regular season, and Eli Manning of the New York Giants is 13th out of 32 quarterbacks rated. On a grading scale of 0-100, Manning scores a 56.9 overall in the new rating system.
That ranking is probably just about right. Manning has been utterly average for the first two weeks of the season -- not good, not bad, just average -- and this ranking reflects that. Manning's Week 2 score was 60.9, 14th out of qarterbacks graded. We know the deal Monday -- awful start, good finish.
A few other notes from the overall rankings:
Tom Brady (89.7) is the overall leader. Buffalo's Ryan Fitzpatrick is No. 2 with a grade of 84.8. The next three are Matt Hasselbeck, Tony Romo and Matthew Stafford. Luke McCown (8.7) and Kerry Collins (9.8) bring up the rear. Mark Sanchez of the New York Jets is 28th with a 31.6 grade.
