A "fan favorite" will not make the 53 man roster.
What I mean by that is someone who we have percieved as being a "shoe-in" because of a few flashes here in the preseason is not going to make it.
Let's face it, we aren't scouts. We aren't there during film study, we aren't there during team meetings, and we aren't there during practice. I know most of us would love to be, but we aren't the ones running this team (for a number of "fans" thankfully so!).
I may not want it or agree with it, but I can picture the Giants cutting a Da'Rel or Andre, a Herzlich or Williams, or a Tracy or Trattou.
They've got a ton of talent on this team which is going to make roster cuts very tough. That's a great problem to have.
This preseason hasn't exactly gone to plan...

But there have definitely been some bright spots. This team is without a doubt faster and younger at key positions than they have been in years past.

They have the potential to get major contributions from this year's draft class and UDFA's.

...as well as potential superstars from draftees of years past.
So, here's to hoping my prediction is wrong and that all our "fan favorites" make the team. But, more importantly that the Giants field the best 53 man roster they can and this year becomes another one to remember.
