I'm sure it's been posted about before (I don't know how to search FanPosts), but where the heck is Chase Blackburn? Can a guy's stock fall so fast that they won't even take a shot with him? Even if he can't help at MLB he can certainly help our horrid kickoff coverage...? Even more interesting is that no other team looked at him. I haven't read anything about his health, perhaps he's hurt?

Blackburn was never all that good

He was a damn good ST player
and a dependable reserve. My guess is he isn’t fully recovered from the knee injury that ended his season last year, but I don’t know that for sure.
he was the captain of one of the worst STs in the league
Thats not saying much. Just b/c he was the best guy we had doesnt mean he was any good. Basically, he was the tallest guy in munchkin land.
Nobody wins the Superblow in September.

1st alternate pro bowler at ST
so he was more than just the best guy we had according to a few folks.
Blackburn was a blue collar type
That fans love even though he really isn’t any good. He was alright on ST’s but he wasn’t Steve Tasker, David Tyree, or Larry Izzo. The fact other teams aren’t exactly beating down his door says a lot
