Sorry guys only my second post, so please excuse the random thought process.
My personal option is yes, but the option of the NFL teams Gms and Coachs early this week said Osi isn't worth a first round pick. If they thought other wise he'd be gone, and we'd have 2 first round pick next year. Its all about timing and demand. If we'd just come off a superbowl year and there was no lockout we might have gotten a 1st round pick for Osi. But neither of those is the case. Not to mention last year was Osi first great year since 2007. After nursing him through a 2008 injury season, then in 2009 he had a mediocer season at best. It took 2 years after the injured season until we saw the Osi from 2007. Then Bam!.. I want more money or trade m ! Osi's agent said if Giants would take a lower pick(like a 2nd rounder) he would be traded and everyone would be happy. How does that benefit the Giants? If your worth 1st round money Osi someone would have jumped at the chance to grab you for a first round pick.
I understand players have a short window to make as much money as they can. The days of loyal players has passed us by years ago, and they get their money were they can. Can you blame them? I know i'd most likely do the same in their postion. But you have to realize that you can't win them all. Osi needs to suck up his" wallet pride" and get to work! Have another exceptional season and prove his worth to the NFL, not me. If so next year he may get his money from the Giants or the trade he's looking for.
