I know everyone is freaking out right now about the abrupt departure of SS12 to the hated S***Birds, and Boss to the disfunctional family that is Raider Nation. In all honesty think about what did we really lose? Sure SS12 was Eli's safety net that always ran the right routes, but lets not forget that over the past two seasons we were without SS12 for numerous games due to injury. Plus even when he attempted to play through the injury he was not the same. And with the Boss factor he continually went multiple games without a catch or would make crucial drops. Sure the loss of Kevin Boss is a bit more unsettling just becasue we don't have a stong #2 TE that can step in. But the good news is that Bear spent most of last year with the first team offense (alright it was as a FB) so he should be more adapt to real game speed. With Smith I am one that was disappointed and furious with him at first, but now all I can think about is maybe we will see that spark again from Cruz or Barden. Admit it, how many of us thought the G-Men were gong to spend 4 or 5 years rebuilding after Tiki left? What happened, new players stepped up and we won a SuperBlow (had to put that in). I guess we will see in the next few pre-season games who will step up and fill the void.
