Braylon Edwards
I don't have time to make my case now but I needed to say that Edwards would add an important piece to our young receiving corps . A veteran receiver who could work with our young corp and help motivate, not to mention the talent he would bring. His stats with the Jets were more than respectable and he would be a good new weapon for Eli.He's a proven solid route runner and and strong on the vertical run. Obviously the Giants were looking for a veteran receiver (hence, the Plaxico meeting or was that just a half hearted attempt for the "we owe it to Plaxico" publicity...I honestly think that was not the case, It' not how the Giants do things..we have more integrity than most. So what are we waiting for? Let's make a move for Edwards. Can we afford him.? We didn't empty the bank on Bradshaw, so is it economically feasible? I think so!
Every year for three years I here about how good our young receiving team is and how much depth we have and how receiver is not a big concern of ours. After what happened to our receiving corps last year your comfortable with going into the season with only 2 proven strong starters? (Nicks and Manningham)
Hixon who I've always liked and had high hopes for, I can't bank on anymore. Is he that much of a lock to stay healthy after the long and arduous rehab he went through? I don't really have to say much more about the situation with our remaining receivers because I know you guys see the picture. Last thing, I wish the best to Victor Cruz (who I believe is healthy this year) on having a great camp and who in the near future will hopefully add another weapon to the Giants receiving core!!
I guess I made my case after all and will pay the price in the morning..but it was worth it ! I was obsessing about this all day and would talk to anyone who would listen to me.
It's gonna be a very tough year my fellow giant fans but not tough enough to keep us out of the playoffs!
Eli will kick ass this season,
Holdsworth

The only thing Braylon would bring to our club as a veteran
is possibly tips on how to make sure balls that clank off your hands that you should have caught hit the ground instead of a defender’s chest.

We're already pretty damn good at that
maybe Braylon could teach them to knock the ball to the ground instead of into a defenders hands.
You know what? At the right price
I would not be opposed to bringing Edwards in. A WR tandem of Nicks, Manningham, and Edwards would be scary as hell

Edwards sucks
I’d rather try and see what Homer Jones is up to
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
So you want another WR who will drop passes and deflect INTs
But at the right price, sure why not… put there are two problems.
1. Jets did not try to resign him because he is a diva. Think about that, the Jets have been collecting “outspoken” and “spotlight” players for the past few years and now they felt this guy is too much to handle. I think that says something about him in the locker room, especially if Nicks and Ham get more looks.
2. He wants a big FA deal and even if the Giants had space for a bigger money contract… he ain’t worth it.

I may be wrong
but I am pretty sure that the Jets stated that Edwards was not the diva he was portrayed to be when he was with them.

Only 1 dropped ball and 1 tipped pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not as bad as you think.

he did have a good year in 2010
but I just have this feeling being here would bring that all back… he would want to fit in with the other wideouts.

Edwards is overrated
Take it from a Jets fan—he’s not worth the price. He has very bad hands, as we’ve all seen, isn’t consistent, and although he’s 6’2 and a nice vertical threat, I’d take Nicks and Smith over him any day. He’s not worth the money he’s asking for. I’m glad he’s not with the Jets next year…
I rather bring back Hagan.
Eli worked well with him.
"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
LET'S GO RANGERS!!!
Braylon
Would not be a bad 3rd option. At the right price, would not mind seeing him hold the fort down until Smith comes back.
Let's Go Knicks, NY Giants, NY Mets & NY Rangers.
How about Victor Cruz?
Guy had a monster preseason last year—those catches against the Jets were SICK. Is he still on PUP?
1. Only 1 dropped ball .
2. Held his “Deva-ness” in check.
3. he was a cap casualty . that is all.
If we’re having trouble signing Boss you can forget about this guy.

No Edwards but
If Smith don’t sign can we have faith in Victor Cruz has our slot, 3rd down, and Eli blanket? Steve Smith sign your damn contract.
The greatest player ever!!!
i just checked and giants.com only has Barden listed on PUP
but Smith isin’t signed so he’s not even on the roster.
koets is NOT on PUP but i heard a report that he was?
TeamJPP
What's the point?
We need to resign Smith and Boss before anything…
Nicks, Smith, Manningham, Cruz, Barden, Jerrigan, Hagan, Hixon, Thomas….where does Edwards fit?
Also how does he fit under the cap?
cut calhoun and reynaud
they keep forgetting to do that

And now Clayton, too:

Rather have
Malcolm Floyd than Braylon Edwards.
"The worst thing you can do, at least this is what my friends tell me, is to come after me," Calhoun said. "I'm usually better at coming out of the corner than I am up on the pedestal. I haven't been on many pedestals, by the way. I'm a natural underdog, I guess -- sometimes for no apparent reason. And if I can't be the underdog, I'll make myself the underdog, somehow or other."
No thanks
we’re good.

There are no available WRs
that are worth considering, IMO (besides benchwarming)
