What A Difference A Year Makes
I have been giving myself a headache trying to think of New York Giants items to write about these days with the NFL Lockout basically mucking everything up. I figured I would go back into the archives and see what we were talking about a year ago on this date. I wish I hadn't.
A year ago today we ran two stories from a media access day at an OTA. One leading with Mathias Kiwanuka, another mostly discussing Perry Fewell. We were also deep into our 'By The Numbers' series. Finally, a year ago today is when the Giants made it official that they would hold training camp for 2010 at Ulbany.
Sigh! Training camp. I think it will be a miracle if I see the Giants training at UAlbany this summer.

Good idea looking back a year.
Indeed, you may want to consider a series . . . One Year Ago, Two Years Ago, Three, Four, Five Years Ago. Find the best entry for each date. Wallow in the benefit of history. Be one with the keyboard.
Take a break Ed.
You deserve it. Spend time with the fam and enjoy the North Country, man do I miss that!
Then come back with a vengence when the two sides can figure things out.

Almost a year ago we were saying
ugh why did we pick JPP? That DE from Gtech was right there! See, I cant even remember that guys name…
Nobody has heard his name
That’s a really good thing. Good call TC!
Why won't god let us beat the Eagles?
Morgan will be a beast
he missed most of the season with a knee injury……..JPP just has no ceiling and can be the modern day Deacon Jones thats why he was picked and i for one was extremely excited he was the pick last year.
Peyton May Have The Wins!!
But Eli Will Have The Rings!!!
Modern day Deacon Jones!
Man that’s some lofty praise/expectations. You just got me excited to watch him play.
Just get it done already...
Yes he is the modern day Decon Jones potentially
I say this because at the time Deacon Jones’ size, speed, and intensity was never seen before…..JPP doesnt seem to have the verbal intensity but he is relentless on the field….he is huge, fast, quick, agile and extremely powerful, he has to work on his balance tho, to many times he seems like a baby just following his head as he stumbles to the ground.
Once he gets his balance tgthr which im sure he has already being that last year was so new for him from every aspect. This guy is the next Deacon for sure IMO, i actually expect him and Tuck to play more 3 technique DT than the actual starting DT next year in an attempt to have them all on the field with Kiwi as much as possible.

Morgan was a safe pick
but I don’t think anybody thought he was supremely talented. My guy was Carlos Dunlap.
Last year around this time
Hixon tore up his knee on the New Meadowlands turf (at first it was called a hyperextended knee) This of course lead to the trade for Darius… sigh.
"Sack-Forced Fumble-TD against any QB in the history of the NFL.... honestly, It would probably be Eli because I see him in pratice and we can't touch him (laughs)" - Justin Tuck

sadly, i was there that day.
had a pounding headache to. remember seeing him crumple to the ground, and lay there. then, he popped up and walked off the field, giving us all false hope. i have pics from that day i’ve never shared with you guys, let me know if you still care to see them.
Yes, I am a Giants fan. Now that we got that out of the way....

Kiwi vs Osi
The battle for the starting DE spot opposite Tuck
i think we can all agree that the highlight of that Kiwi article
was the comment about halfway down made by that strapping young poster named wilddre22. damn, he’s good looking!
btw, whatever happened to those guys freebradshaw and bobbiblue? they added good content to this site.

That was my weak attempt at dry humor. :)

I saw the fanpost when he said that he was no longer posting here
but with the stuff he said in it, I wouldn’t be surprised if the mods. banned him for good measure.
Yeah, I saw his "Good Bye" fanpost too
But it was quickly taken down (by the powers that be I presumed). The fanpost was put up at 3:39am EST on May 12 and it was titled:
My final post..thanks to all of you… too many to list..It has been fun!
I was up late that day and happened to see it. While there were a couple “choice” words in the fanpost, he basically spoke his mind and said how he felt in the post, especially about that eagles fan thing that was going on at the time. If he was actually banned, he definitely made the decision to leave BBV before hand. Shameful cuz I really liked how he sometimes would interject some great humor in a lot of posts. And some of his stories were just LOL nuts.
The football team in my school, they were tough! After they sacked the quarterback they went after his family.
