Which Giants Should Be Top 100 of 2011?
If you have NFLn you know that they've been promoting this heavily. They ask players around the league to vote on this list. I don't watch it at all and I don't know if any GMen players made it but who do you think really should make it? Note only 203 from each team make it but astoundingly the Boys have 6...
Definitely Should Be In:
-Hakeem Nicks
-Kareem McKenzie
-Justin Tuck
-Osi Umenyiora
-The Linebacking crew
Should Be But Maybe Won't
-Eli Manning
-Ahmad Bradshaw

How do the Cowboys have 6?
Lets see Demarcus Ware, Jay Ratliff…maybe Dez Bryant or Miles Austin, and well that’s really the only good players they have.
Snee should be on it along with Osi and Tuck. I have seen that Antrel Rolle is on the list, but I don’t feel like he belongs there.

Funny,
I watched my first episode last night. I wasn’t paying full attention to it because it was not that compelling. Not like the top 100 of all-time series they had. That was great. Snee is on the list, in the 80’s, I believe. And Eli better be on that friggin’ list seeing how Josh Freeman was on there!
Side note: TC was the guy who spoke about Jay Ratliff, who was also in the 80"s.
I like your list. I think Rolle may be on there, maybe Matt Dodge, too (yeah right)
Just get it done already...
Eli will be snubbed
Players voted and he was also voted one of the most overrated, but so was Romo and he was at 72.
sigh...
i agree with our DE's
nicks should be too, but hell, most (being precautious, or if not all) of us) dont work for the guys that make these lists, so thats just what i think
"I like prime rib, and I'd love to win a Super Bowl" -Andy Reid
I’d add Snee in there most def. I don’t think there’s a question he’s top 100.
McKenzie would probably be a "should be’ but probably won’t.

NFL network
added a bonus video of Seubert I think telling people why Snee should be on the list because he isnt.
Umm Snee was already on the list in the 70s I believe...
But the show is good and Eli will be on the list but I think Snee should be higher (or lower) I’ll just say he should be closer to the top.

Eli will not earn his respect in the league
Until his career is over. I love Eli. I’ve defended him to my father and uncles from day one. Although they are die hard Giants fans they thought he was a whinny little moms boy that always got picked on by his older brother. They are starting to see the light like many of us. But outside of the Giants nation. Eli is the whinny little kid that was kicking and screaming on draft day. “But mommy I don’t want to play for the Chargers!!” :-(

i thank him for doing so
But the rest of NFL fans with always think he is overrated bcuz of that day.
by hit_hard on May 19, 2011 12:47 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
Yup.
And when I read what our rivals say about him on their sites it’s just moronic sometimes. They even make it seem like he was another Dilfer or Brad Johnson along for the ride for the 2007 championship. And this is not when they are trash talking, but being serious. Me? I think Eli helps us win one more. Soon…

And the score is Little Brother 2 Big Brother 1…what will they say then?

It wasn't him
It was the defense, or the running game, or a lucky catch, etc.

sorry, should've prefaced that with a SPOILER ALERT

Eli better be on that list considering some of the players on that list already
McNabb? Clifton? Flacco? Mike Williams (any of them..), Eric Berry?
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
this isnt 2004
How the EFF did McNabb get on this list
Die hard Giants fan since wide Right! I was 5...
I'm thinking Eli, Snee, Tuck and Osi
More interested in whether Tuck or Eli rated higher
i dont think osi will make it after i saw this list ^^^^^^^^
only eli and tuck
by The Blood of Eli on May 19, 2011 3:02 PM EDT up reply actions
They already announced
That 3 giants will be in, snee is one, Ralph V has said Antrelle Rolle is one that will be in the 61-70 show, so to me, that would leave Tuck as the other giant.
if eli doesnt make it
and flacco/freeman/mcnabb/romo all made it…. well excuse my french… but F*** NFL Network
by The Blood of Eli on May 19, 2011 3:31 PM EDT up reply actions
It's not the Network.
Coaches and players are picking the list. And Eli may still be on it, but IF that part about only 3 Giants are on it is accurate, then he probably won’t be. Sigh…
Just get it done already...
Just players not coaches

If I had NFL Network, I'd cancel it
I may just order it just to cancel it based on that. Antrel F’ing Rolle?
Steve Smith, Eli Manning, Hakeem Nicks and Corey Webster should be on this list already based on some of the turds that made it that couldn’t shine these guy’s jocks
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
The players vote the network has nothing to do with who was voted in!

I'm seriously freaking offended that McNabb made the list over Eli ... VERY offended
What in the hell? He shouldn’t have made the list at ALL. The worst season of his damn career. Struggled with accuracy and was missing wide open receivers all year for the skins. You can’t be serious
It doesn’t look like Eli is going to make the top 100 because there’s only 8 QBs to be left (said there was going to be 12 QBs on the top 100 i believe) so that has to leave probably vick, big ben, rivers, peyton, brees, brady, rodgers, and matt ryan. cant see eli making it over any of them given his unpopularity.
As for the Giants I’d put up there:
1. Tuck
2. Osi (well of 2010, he set the record for FFs, he deserves to be there)
3. Snee
4. McKenzie (well PFF claims hes the most dominant run blocking tackle in the NFL for months now and they love to gush about him)
Seeing how Mike Williams and supposedly 18 total WRs made the list… I really hope Nicks does make that list. Wishful thinking that Bradshaw is going to make the list. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rolle makes it just on reputation with the players
Use it as motivation E.
2007 wasn’t enough, prove ’em all wrong again. So I can say “told ya so”, again….
Just get it done already...
Question
Is this the list of the 100 best going into the 2011 season or the 100 best from the past year?
Either way, if its true that only Tuck, Snee, Rolle are the only Giants on the list… then there is a problem. ROMO (played 6 games in 2010 before the Giants broke him), MCNABB (got replaced by Sexy Rexy)!!!!!! really… player and coaches, really?
Its sad, people are going to hate Eli for the rest of his life because of draft day. Prove them all wrong Easy E, win it all like 3 more times.

The way I think
this should have been done is to break it up into positions. Top 10 QB’s, top 10 DE’s, etc. How can you look at #77, G Chris Snee and say he is a better or worse football player than #95, LB Jon Beason? Just doesn’t make sense to me in that regard.

BTW
For those wondering, Eli will not be in the list
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/05/24/eli-mannings-peers-dont-think-hes-a-top-100-player/
And as always, the comments are just a bowl full of laughs. The fact that Flacco, Freeman and McNabb are on the list is just sickening.
