A friend of mine once told me this LT story that is fantastic, which I have since told others but it occurred to me it might just be a story. Can anyone collaborate this?

LT was a freshman at NC. The coach put 11 balls in one end zone and all the freshman in the other. He said to the team, "lets see who wants to make this team" and blew his whistle.
All the players ran from one endzone to the other and there was a free for all. LT came back with 2 balls.
