I agree with both sides to this debate, should we fire "Killdrive".
At times i will agree, he needs to make a change or we do. but you can't dissagree that "Killdrive" has consistentley put out a top 5 offense year after year. yes he has made bone headed calls year after year, game after game. If you were to ask my baby brother what "Killdrive" is gonna call on 3rd & 5, he can tell you that it's a run up the middle. But every now and then you get brilliance. every game you get that call or two that make you realise how good he can be. you wonder, why does jacobs get the pitches and runs to the outside and little bradshaw always go's up the middle, me too. He obviously forgets his players strengths, he doesn't know how to properly use a TE, or call a play on 3rd down. and somehow every year his offense is near the top, and that's something to be proud of. sure you can say it's all eli, or all our RB's, or all our oline, or recievers. but when you have that many positions to give credit to, you have to look at the OC, because they play like a team, not individual performers. sure the play calls aren't really good at most times. but when he calls a play the TEAM, usually operates it to perfection. and there is another side to this Team play, the turnovers, how do you go from a league low in 08 to have the worst in the NFL just two years later with the same exact team. Sure you can blame bradshaw, or the recievers, or eli's insane decisions at times. but when there's that many you have to look at the OC, because the tip interception should and could be coached, but they kept happening. if you stop running bradshaw up the middle to face LBers twice his size he may just stop fumbling. If you give eli a checkdown route to maybe uh a Tight End, he may stop chucking it up there and hope for the best.
Gilbride in my opinion is By-polar, at times he's good and at times well there is a reason we call him "Killdrive". so take a look at the teams stats since 07, and then tell me what you think.
