Like we do every week, let's look at the Pro Football Focus grades for the New York Giants this week. After Saturday's 29-14 victory over the New York Jets you can probably guess that -- for a change -- the offensive grades won't look very good while the defense posts some nice numbers.
Let's get started.
OFFENSE
Victor Cruz (+1.5)
Brandon Jacobs (+1.4)
Travis Beckum (-1-1)
Eli Manning (-1.2)
Ramses Barden (-1.4)
David Diehl (-1.6)
Bear Pascoe (-1.6)
Hakeem Nicks (-2.0)
David Baas (-2.7)
Chris Snee (-3.3)
Every Giants lineman had a negative grade, though Kareem McKenzie (-0.1) and Kevin Boothe (-0.8) were barely below the 0.0 baseline. It is painfully obvious that this group needs some help for the 2012 season.
DEFENSE
Justin Tuck (+5.1) ... Nice to see Tuck play like Tuck
Corey Webster (+4.7) ... What a difference when Webster is allowed by press and play man coverage.
Chris Canty (+4.3)
Kenny Phillips (+2.6)
Linval Joseph (+2.5)
Aaron Ross (+2.0)
Jacquian Williams (+2.0)
Jason Pierre-Paul (+1.6) ... This grade would be significantly higher is his strip-sack on Mark Sanchez had not been overturned via replay.
Rocky Bernard (-1.8)
Michael Boley (-2.2)
Antrel Rolle (-2.4) ... Even when Rolle plays pretty well, which I felt he did, he can't get any love from PFF.
