Stay off the Eli Bandwagon
So it seems 8 games into the season people are coming around to the fact that Eli is an elite QB. In fact other the Aaron Rodgers you could argue that nobody has played better than Eli this year. Still I have a message to all the bandwagon jumpers in the media. STAY OFF THE ELI BANDWAGON.
We don't need you. We don't want you. In fact I encourage morons like Craig Carton to keep preening that "Mark Sanchez is the best QB in NY." Oh and Michael Kay, your "Eli has too many turnovers and he isn't a leader" statements. Keep making them. We don't need you. We don't want you. Please make this narrative about how the Patriots "lost" this game. My team plays better when they aren't respected. They thrive when the talking heads ignore them. Sure we have the best pass rush in the sport. Sure our coach is probably as good as there is out there. Sure we have a top flight WR. Oh and about that QB, hard to find one better on the planet. But you know what. We don't need your respect. In fact we don't want it. Stick with the dream team in Philly (we have seen how much it helped them). Keep crowing about the Packers. Heck even the 49ers and Lions could use some positive exposure. We will just keep winning games with a coach, QB and team that flies under the radar. We don't want you aboard for the ride and we don't need your respect. So far the journey is going quite well without you.

After all the years arguing with people about whether or not he's Elite
I say let em’ on. No need to fight anymore. As long as Eli keeps it up, I don’t care if everyone jumps on the bandwagon. I’m just happy people are starting to notice he’s legit.

The amount of a f@#k Eli doesn’t give would make the Honey Badger Blush

6-2, we know how to do.
11-5, 12-4 is what I want to see at the end.
Though this season has a much different feel than the last 2 fast starts. 5 fourth quarter comebacks will do that.

It's still the same result though
6-2.
I like 6-2, but I’m more excited about tonight’s new episode of House. 6-2 ain’t shit.

tommy we need to get to 7-2. A win next weekend gives us the inside tract to the number 2 seed early in the season. And it will show that this team can beat any team anywhere anytime. If this Patriots victory didn’t already do that.

I'm just looking at
the record I want to see at the end of the season.
tito and I have “spoken” at length about the Giants finishing the season strong.
But I’m with you, the next game is the most important game. And SF is a very good team that gives me much concern.
I was very confident going into the Pats game, and it took last minute heroics from Eli to pull that one out. The SF game, and their brand of football, concerns me alot more than the Pats did.

49ers will try to keep eli off the field at the end of the game.

I want GB to go undefeated until we play them in the NFC Championship game...

I want us to be the only team that beats Packers in the regular season this year then knock them out in Championship game in way to another superbowl victory this coming Feb.

I'm Assuming he is still on the air
I don’t listen to WFAN until 10:05 when the Jets morning show kicks off.
Jets morning show lol
I actually don’t mind Joe and Evan

That happens when the team you root for hasn’t won in damn near half a century!!
Sour grapes, jealousy will get you nowhere in life lol.
Hahahaha
Yeah, I can’t even knock on Joe and Evan for being such unabashed Jets fans – they’re easy to listen to, and certainly much more rational than freakin’ Craig Carton.

Umm why?
You would just be incredibly mad if the media still said he was an average QB right?
Realist.
bandwagoning is just as annoying
you of all people should know this

yes...yes it is.
he was great before this
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
Eh lets be real.
His interceptions are down this year. That was his roadblock. You can’t be great when you lead the league in TO.
Realist.
So is Brees not great?
He has a pretty high number of INT this year. atleast 1 or 2 per game
Nets Mets Giants ALL DAY
Dude...
Brees doesn’t have 30 combined turnovers. I’m praising Eli this season. A year ago that wasn’t possible because of the turnovers. I never praise Brees so this is completely off topic. Brees is good. I think Rodgers is the only elite QB right now.
Unless Brady can snap out of it and Peyton somehow takes a snap this year.
Realist.
Brees threw 22 INTs last year
don’t know how many fumbles but I’m sure a few! Now this year he has like 12 INTs buddy but since his last name isn’t Manning it gets completely ignored. It’s preception from clueless media talking heads that cause people to bash Eli. If his name was Eli Jackson he would be seen in a much higher regard.

You can't really compare Brees and Eli last year
Brees had way more pass attempts, so his int/attempt rating was far better than Eli’s. Eli is playing better football this year than last, though I think last year was a bit of a funk year as he had better years previously as well in my mind. I’ve always been an Eli supporter (I have huge respect for the part of the game that doesn’t show up on the stat sheet like play checks, protecting setting, etc.), but I can acknowledge last years performance did not have him sitting in the top tier. This year is different. That’s not bandwagon.
I understand he threw more
but all throws aren’t created equal. Brees’ offense is very dink and dunk with alot of safe 3 step drop throws. Many of Brees’ throws are basically running plays so of course he has a better attempt to INT ratio. Eli’s offense is much more complicated. I don’t like comparing QBs in different systems but in our offense Brees would be a disaster. I do agree Eli is playing the best ball of his career but I’m not a Brees guy and I never was.

He fumbled 8 times last year
he very well could have had 30 turnovers

Those hid the greatness
it was always there. The INTs were what keep a potentially great team at merely 10-6. Eli’s proving again this year that he makes this offense run. I mean..Jake Ballard and Victor Cruz? Get the FK outta here. THat’s Eli Manning making a WR and a TE just like his brother did with Pierre Garcon and Jacob Tamme.
Greatness can also mean that despite a flaw such as INTs, which while he threw a lot his totals were inflated due to tips and garbage time can have a QB going 10-6 despite all of those turnovers.
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
Tom Brady
Is on pace to throw 20 INTs this year. Nobody’s really talking about it because he still wins games for that team. Eli’s done the same thing, he’s just not as good-looking, so he doesn’t get the credit.
If everybody had a hard-on for Eli the way they do Brady, they’d call him a “gunslinger” instead of “interception machine”.
I'm waiting for the
NFL Films documentary on Eli, where a number of the interviews will show the same people who bashed him throughout his career, praising Eli.
