With Jacobs slowing down and aging, the best thing he still does is use his mouth in criticize the fans. I'm pretty sure most of the Giants fans are fed up with his mouth not to mention his play. How many times do we see a huge hole upon for a potentially large gain, only to be thwarted by Jacobs' slowness. He doesn't even use his main attribute- his strength, especially dancing at the line of scrimmage. The one area you'd expect someone of his girth and stature to be able to contribute is 3rd/4th and and less than 3. Even in the prime of his career how many times did we see him (and Bradshaw) be stopped short resulting in a punt or turnover on downs. Also, last year and partly this year, how many times did we see our offense start to get on a roll, only to be abruptly ended with a turnover by Bradshaw and Jacobs.
The problems stated above are constantly some of the main reasons for losses- the inability to convert on 3rd downs, and the high tendencies of turnovers.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I bring to you the free agent savior who would end some of our main weaknesses.
As many of you know, how many times has Benjarvus fumbled in his entire career? 0
When it's 3rd and 2, it's almost a guarantee with BJGE that he will convert and get the first.
He will also likely be relatively cheap this free agency, so why not?
