"I consider myself in that class," said Manning, the MVP of Super Bowl XLII. "Tom Brady is a great quarterback, he's a great player and what you've seen with him is he's gotten better every year. He started off winning championships and I think he's a better quarterback now than what he was, in all honesty, when he was winning those championships. "I think now he's grown up and gotten better every year and that's what I'm trying to do. I kind of hope these next seven years of my quarterback days are my best."
I looked up some stats of league leaders in passing this year and here is what I found.
In passing Yards Tom Brady is 3rd in the NFL with 2,361 Yards, Eli Manning is 7th in the NFL with 2,127 Yards. Only 234 yards behind Brady.
In Yards/Game Tom Brady is 3th in the NFL while Eli is 4th. Tom adverages 337.3 Yds/Game and Eli adverages 303.9 Yds/Game. Only about 34 Yards difference.
In Completion percentage Brady is 4th while Eli is 5th. Brady's percentage is 67.6 while Eli's is 64.7. Not a huge diffrence there.
I am not saying Eli Manning is a better QB than Brady beacuse I'm not, but I am saying that there isn't a huge difference in stats. On Sunday in Foxboro, we will find out who the better QB is.
