Tonic for the Ground Game

So far this season our "ground game" has not warranted capital letters. True, we have a rookie fullback, a new center and tight end, and they have all had their struggles. Still, an offensive line that does as good a job as they have been doing in pass blocking ought to be able to open a hole every now and again. As the days get colder, the running game must be bolder.

There are two players on this club who have done a fine job of blocking this season. I recall a certain number 27 "chipping" on Trent Cole in the Eagles game and Will Beatty had to FIND Cole to finish the block
Has anybody seen 44 miss a block this season? I haven't seen every minute of every game but evry time I've seen him throw a block he has been very effective.

So why not design a package of plays with Bradshaw and Jacobs on the field at the same time? Nobody has seen much(any) of this in the past few years so there's no film on it, and yes, you can throw from this package, too. Neither of these guys are afraid to throw a block, and they are buddies so you know each is pulling for the other. Might cause a little sceme confusion for opposing defenses.
