People need to stop with the

$100 million bogus talk.

That last year of his contract was voided weeks ago, thus making his contract $80 million total. So it should read:

A lot of teams report bogus numbers for player contracts. It doesn’t mean that’s what the contract really is.

For instance the Eagles signed Cullen Jenkins to a long-term deal, but in reality it’s a 1-year deal giving them the option of getting rid of him after this year with no cap penalty.

But you can continue to spin it however you want. The fact of the matter is it’s an $80 million contract.

Considering how our defense plays against backup QBs, this is not necessarily good news.

Eagles will rely more on McCoy which could also cause problems. I sure hope I am wrong on this one.

Oddly, the Giants performance seems to be unrelated to the talent of the opponent

Brady? Fitzpatrick? SF running game? No problem. Charlie Whitehurst? Reggie Bush? Rex Grossman? Run for cover. They have the capability of beating anybody (Green Bay included), but they also make themselves vulnerable to anybody. So I’m not sure it matters who QBs for Philly.

This happens to the Yankees too.

They are often beaten by rookie or unknown pitchers. I think it’s more a function of the other guy being amped up to knock off the mighty yankees. Same thing here. “I’m gonna beat the big NY team”.
