can someone remind me

why we are not supposed to like the Jets? i get that the Jets wouldn’t like us, but they are like our little brothers. my father was given FREE titans tickets way back in the 60s just for being a giants season tickets holder. get it, titans?

go JETS. i hate the Steelers fans, they have no respect when they travel and are miserable b*stards. go NEW YORK

I like the steelers

the only reason I don’t want them to win is because 7burgh would be way too much.

I just don’t like the Jets team.

Go ahead and root for them, no one’s saying you can’t.

called a timeout

with the clock not moving to call a reverse, when the play called had the 1st down. TERRIBLE job there.

was a terrible call.

I REALLY hate both of these teams...

The Jets for obvious reasons. The Steelers because Rothlisberger gets more credit than he deserves. He did nothing but hand the ball off for years and SUCKED in the SB against the Seahawks. If not for the refs in that game, Steelers lose it. It should be blatantly obvious Eli is the best QB to come out of that draft yet he gets nowhere near the credit he deserves and WAAAAAY too much blame because of his last name. I’m getting more pissed off as I type this.

LOL . . . you're right

I’d probabbly be a little rough on him. It goes to show you what defense and a ground game mean to a QB.

Giants rebuilt the O-line get back to physical football, it will make Eli better. Get an LB or two and we’ll be able to compete at a high level again

by Landeta on Jan 23, 2011 8:58 PM EST up reply actions

I will say this though

Ben has not been that good passing and Rodgers had his issues too but their running made the difference. Eli’s not bad at escaping pressure but it would be nice if he was a better runner.

Steelers front office is better than the Giants

They don’t sign over priced free agents like the Giants and they draft and replace players better.

They lost Plaxico and won a SB, we’ve been dog shit since.

The Giants are’nt bad but they’re Pittsburgh light.

by Landeta on Jan 23, 2011 10:03 PM EST up reply actions

agreed because they've been doing it since 1970

and unlike the Pats its not about the coach it’s the organization as a whole. Nobody in the NFL has done it better over the last 40 years that Pitt.

I’m not ripping the Giants, we have it pretty good over the last 30 years but we’re no Pittsburgh. We’re the St. Louis Cardinals of the NFL they’re the NY Yankees.

The Steelers

have kept what they’ve needed to keep. That goes beyond players. The Giants allowed Sean Payton, Bill Belichick, Spags, et al. to leave. The Steelers were smart enough to keep Dick LeBeau around.

"I was going to separate from this guy and make him look silly." -- Kevin Boss

by GhostDini on Jan 23, 2011 10:56 PM EST up reply actions

the Steelers are more lucky to keep Lebeau than anything

he was there for a while, failed as a HC and doesn’t seem to want to do it again. He loves it there.

All the Giants great coordinators were all young at the time and aspired to be HCs. That’s the problem, they can’t find an old fart who failed as a HC to be a coordinator.

Also Sean Payton really wasn’t all that good as a coordinator, was he?

Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows

by Rorschach44 on Jan 23, 2011 11:00 PM EST up reply actions

I wonder how much of Payton's failures

were because he wanted to do something un-Giants-like and wasn’t allowed to do so. He runs a dynamic offense in NO. The Giants seem to be against such creativity.

"I was going to separate from this guy and make him look silly." -- Kevin Boss

by GhostDini on Jan 23, 2011 11:27 PM EST up reply actions

Payton called that 41-0 massacre over Minny which game him a rep around the league

and he always had excellent game plans vs Philly but outside of that he did struggle. Then again he had Kerry Collins and an average O-line most years he was there. I like Kerry but he’s not Drew Brees.

In 02 the Giants O was struggling with Payton calling plays then Fassel took over and the O rolled and the Giants got into the playoffs. So Payton took a hit in the eyes of a lot of Giants fans.

by Landeta on Jan 24, 2011 9:02 AM EST up reply actions

LeBeau was the Bengals HC at one point

He failed and is 70 years old thats why he has not gone anyware. It’s not like Lebeau’s been the DC in Pitt for 20 years or something. The Steelers let Wizenhunt and Grimm go as well. Pitt has also lost Mike Mularchy and Chan Gailey as OCs over the years. Pitt has as much turnover as any other organization with both coaches and players they just replace them with guys that are just as good or better without breaking the bank which is an amazing feat. They don’t bring in Bill Sheridans or Sean McDermotts to replace excellent coaches and they replace Plaxico Burres and Santonio Holmes no problem and they repalce Joey Porter with James Harrison.

by Landeta on Jan 24, 2011 8:59 AM EST up reply actions

I was surprised

when I saw that Lebeau hasn’t been around with the Steelers for as long as I thought.

I mean, he was with them a lot, but I thought it was like his whole career.

I mean its great and all but all it does is inflate the playoff win number. Now if they made the SB both years and lost, OK.

Its nice to have the Jets where they are only to have them take away from the heads talking about the Giants for a few weeks, then they can bitch and moan about the Jets when they don’t make the bowl. But that’s about it.

SB nation says torn MCL

The Bears staff messed him up by letting him roam the sidelines. They should have had him icing himself or kept him in the locker room.

...and..oh yeah, get Nnamdi.

GIANTS will always be the better football team in NY

I’ve been waiting for this since they made the playoffs :)

well

The Jets made the conference championship for the second straight year – both years in which the Giants choked down the stretch. The Jets will always be second fiddle until they win the Super Bowl, but it’s hard to say the Giants have been the better team for the last two years.

well cause we havent. idc how u slice it. opponents record, luck, bad divisions, whatever.

making the conference championship 2 years in a row >>>>>> missing the playoffs in a row

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!

jets have improved their

popularity greatly under the fat man. they are now an elite AFC team with a charismatic coach.. Pretty irrelevant due to lack of success in past.
