KP, your 2010 Starting Safety!

tha daddy mack will make ya

Star-divide

Dont know if it has been posted here yet..but I had to spread the news once I found this article.

Ya boy Kenny Phillips has done what he originally has set out as his ultimate goal.. to be back, starting, by opening game 2010. I couldnt be more happy for him, shit, im happy as a Giants fan!  After the career ending talk, and the grueling rehab talk, how he may get worked in for a few plays a game....tell it to the birds, cuz KP took matters in his own hands and did everything he had to do to GETTTERDONE!

I was ok with Grant getting the start..but with KP's athleticism and speed in the passing defense...it adds another dimension.  We all know Rolle isnt the best at coverage..but with them together at the same time..we should see a lot of ball hawking, miami U playin fellas who have much to prove!

Get ready ...for those who took the pre-season too serious.. sunday is the day to start taking each game, each series, each snap serious. Its been a long off season... glad to start this season off with yall here at BBV!!

Semsemma!

who got the keys to mah bema! sorry that always comes to mind when i see your name….

yes, i did hear that. i’m cautiously optomistic. i don’t want to see any setbacks after week one. i trust that the org. knows what there doing, and wouldn’t throw him out there if he wasn’t ready, but to have the kid gloves on all training camp and preseason, and then take them off right before showtime….i just hope we’re not jumping the gun on this one. i would’ve been happy seeing Grant start and get the majority of snaps for the first few games until KP was ABSOLUTELY ready…i guess, time will tell. hopefully, my worries are for naught.

yea man

That article and the ones linked within said they pretty much took didn’t hold anything back with the last couple games. And that he made a few solid tackles. The most important tho that he mentally doesn’t worry about the knee at all while playing. They gave him a hell of a lot of snaps wednesday and tho i think he’s ready. I still think grant will get significant time, switching wit him on some series.

Off topic. I’m not happy about the jacobs news i heard, walking out on reporters after a subliminal question was asked about putting ur ego aside for sharing touches like he did with ward a couple seasons ago.

KP21 is the man!!!

I love that he’s back. I couldn’t imagine what he was dealing with when they questioned if he would ever play again.

KP

If you seen him against the Patriots he was flying around on every play. Had a couple of big hits, so I think he’s fully ready to contribute. I watched that game at least 3 times just to watch KP making plays. It was like Giants therapy. He will be a monster this year.

He had two Ints against T. Romo

Before he went down last year, and Rolle has definitely showed some ball skills this off-season.

Couple that with Fewells old days as a secondary coach, and I think it’s more than possible we lead the league in INTs this year.

worst case

we will def have a huge updgrade in turnover ratio.

Im looking for a solid defensive unit..that can get some key stops ON THIRD DOWN. lol..seems like too long when I wasnt worried about a 3rd and short..or even 3rd and longs..smh
