DJ Johnson to Safety?

DJ Johnson should be moved to safety. He can tackle like a beast, he's 6'1", 191 lbs, and he can cover a little bit. Bulk him up to 200 and you got a 3rd good safety, no? One that can be an emergancy CB if needed. Doesn't Fewell need a lot of safeties? He made some good tackles close to the line and I think that he would love to get a crack at a QB. We need as many physical people on the field as we can get. I just think he won't work out at corner but could be converted. Just my two pennies...

DJ Johnson.....where to begin with this guy
boy can he tackle…he’s good in the open field and wraps up. and he likes to hit.
the thought of him as the last resort on passing plays however does not sit well with me.
take it from me….I had my eye on DJJ since last year in the Minn game. He was my dark horse to make the squad but I’ve backed off that stance.
Also, last week or maybe two weeks ago, Ed and Pat Traina did the Blog Radio show and Pat Traina did say that DJJ could play S and that his flexibility gives him an edge over WIlliams and Courtney Brown.

He's gotta make the roster first
he stinks in coverage but he’s got some talent. As a 5th CB/4th safety he might not be bad.
But I don’t think he’s earned a spot.

Yeah but,
DJJ makes some plays and is younger. And after Rolle and Phillips our Safety prospects are slim.

If CC Brown was the 5th Safety
it wouldn’t be such a bad thing. He was a head hunter on special teams too…always a good thing.
