Who Starts Opposite Tuck?
In a follow up to Who Starts at Running Back?, I posit the question, who will start at RDE: Osi Umenyiora, or Mathias Kiwanuka?
Since this has been argued pretty much to death, I'm more interested in the poll results.
While looking for pictures, it's easy for me to feel good supporting Osi. There's this:Among a few great Osi pics.
That's not to say Kiwi doesn't have some good ones
But I don't think any Defensive End can beat this picture (WARNING: potentially NSFW)
Osi seems to have learned his lesson and from all sources I've seen Kiwi is in it for the team as well.
I have an idea though. Why don't all three defensive ends start? Kiwi and Osi on the Outsides, and Tuck inside? Sure its a cop out when one of them leaves for the sideline the next play, but they all get to be starters. It's win-win-win.
Too much wishful thinking?

Kiwi starts.
Osi plays great off the bench.
Opposing quarterbacks are unhappy.

definitely
Carolina is going to be run-happy and I don’t know if I trust Osi on the run just yet.
"Osi said he's going to London to see the Eiffel Tower."
Stop the run.
I actually wouldn’t mind seeing Canty at DE on downs where Carolina is more likely to run the ball. The Carolina running game is more intimidating then thier passing game. Put Canty and Tuck on the ends and Cofield and Joseph/Bernard in the middle and force them to pass the ball.

and I like that you have Joseph in there over Bernard…..
we’ll see if Goff sticks long term in the middle….i’m still holding my breath on that one.

Strikeouts are boring- Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.
I'm partial to this pic

Alford clotheslining him
is my favourite, though this is quite good as well.

Alford sack is my fav too
but this is a close second

brady
got all fked up that game.
alford, tuck, strah, osi.
how many times did he get sacked that game?
"they try to do what he do, and been where he's been, but they get folded in two.....he's the dude"
6 I believe
He got sacked more in one game than every 4 games during the regular season

Osi is still one of my favorite players in the league...
and I still believe he will come back to his pro bowl form from a few years back….
Osi
He’s performed better than Kiwi so far. But I do like the idea of the Big Base Package being out there vs. Carolina. But I would sub Bernard for Joseph, Bernard has been a force this preseason.
Against Carolina
I would like to see them try something like
Tuck – Bernard – Joseph – Canty
Boley – Goff – Kiwanuka
talk about a meaty front 7!
