Mario Williams or Justin Tuck???
Watching the Saints-Vikings game and seeing Reggie Bush being outplayed by a undrafted free agent (Pierre Thomas) made me think about the 2006 NFL Draft. As far as I remember there was a ton of hype around that Draft, after all we had Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, and Vince Young all potentially going number 1. When the Texans chose Mario Williams everyone including myself thought they made a big mistake, as it turns out most players picked in that Draft did not pan out to be as good as advertised and Mario Williams might in fact be the best player taken in that Draft. However, my question to you is: Mario Williams or Justin Tuck, who would you take?

lot of bias here
williams might be the best 4-3 DE in the league. Tuck is in the conversation but not better.
seriously??
Williams is not even close to being the best 4-3 DE in his division..

Williams and Tuck are probably the 2 best overall DE's in the game.
so its splitting hairs. When healthy Tuck is just as good.

honestly
i haven’t seen enough Texans games to give an honest opinion. I do know that Mario has gotten better each year, after people labeled him a bust after year one.
IMPEACH DOLAN!!!!
Same
I know he (williams) is supposed to be really good. But idk how good.

i went to check profootballfocus.com for the ratings, and its a pay site now. they still have some free content, but the stuff we laid our hat on last season is not for free anymore! haha, i can’t get mad at them, but that sucks, it was good for alot of conversation starters and enders.

damn!
beat me to it!
Hey I was thinking it would be real funny if a BBVer could get on the radio with Sirius NFL and ask them like
“Since the Giants picked up Sage Rosenfels they had to cut Rhett Bomar, who a lot of us believed had some potential as a backup. Do you think he’ll get picked up by any other NFL team, perhaps one that doesn’t have much at backup QB … or running back?”
It’ll be the best inside joke ever.

Mario Williams can be down right unblockable sometimes
in passing situations. Idk if that can be said of Tuck but I’ve always thought what seperated Tuck from other elite DEs was his ability to ALSO dominate the run. Mario plays the run well, but he isn’t exactly dominating at it.
Jus noticed I didnt answer question
I’d personally take Mario.
Kiwi
I don’t know why, maybe its cause he’s in a contract year, but i’m riding Kiwi’s jock all the way to the playoffs. He’s gonna have a better season than both Tuck or Williams.
