AP: Brett Favre tells Vikes he is finished.....for real.....seriously.......he means it

According to the New York Daily News, AP is reporting that Brett Favre has informed the Minnesota Vikings that he is retiring, because his injured ankle is not improving.

I think most of us will believe it when the season opens and he isn't playing.

WHATEVER

let’s see what happens when they break camp.

At this point IMO it’s the media, mostly ESPN, that has allowed this mess to continue.

Maybe...

if we all ignore him, he will go away finally. Too bad, I used to respect the hell out of Favre. Now, I just see him as a one act circus.

I hope so.

Tired of the “Is Bret Farve Coming Back?” soap opera.

Last week of august...

…his ankle will all of a suddenly start to feel better and once again, Tavaris Jackson is lef to watch.

i hope he comes back

i wouldn’t mind seeing him get swallowed chewed and spit out like what the saints did to him last year. Its a beautiful thing when a quarterback not name Eli Manning is pummeled like that

Did you watch the NFCCG?

The Vikings dominated the Saints, and if not for the combined might of about a half doze fumbles and the most ill advised pass this side of the 2007 NFCCG OT period (actually, scratch that, the one against the Saints last year was a worse choice), the Vikings were playing the Colts for the Super Bowl.

i did watch it

I know very well the Vikings blew that game with about 7 fumbles and Brett’s lame duck throw across the middle at the end of the game.

But I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about Favre getting sandwiched (slightly illegally) and smacked that whole game. I enjoyed seeing his ankle the same color as his helmet.

Hopefully its true

During the playoffs, when the giants didnt make it i was rooting for the vikings becuz i though that the only way favre would retire is if he won the super bowl. This is much better because not only does he not get the satisfaction of winning, but hopefully hell be gone for good now

Its already not true....

blame ESPN rather then Farve tho. Found it funny that not a single player actually got one of these text messages. And of course Farve himself never said it anything about it.

False alarm, ESPN big time FAIL (tho I’m sure they enjoyed the bump in viewers…)
