You win in the trenches. I am looking to see Beatty deliver and to see a pair of rookies (JPP and Linval) contribute big time in 2010. Not like a Coughlin team to play rookies much but I am hoping to see it.
If those three do well and the vets on the OL and DL play to par then they will be OK this year.
if those guys play well
then that means guys like Osi, Tuck, Kiwi, McKenzie, Seubert and others probably arent. no thanks. Give me the occassional highligt from them, but leave them on the bench.

I think it has been great that there has been so little coverage of the Giants during the off season, at least compared to some other teams. I much rather that the Giants just get on with the business quietly. Do the talking on the field.

I know it is only exhibition, but that was the starting defensive unit. It looked oddly remeniscent of last year. No pressure on the QB, no ability to stop the run up the middle, and most troubling 3d and very long converted for a 1st down. Hope this is not a portent.

Preseason or not...
Yes, good teams lose preseason games, yes, all the time, work out kinks. But good teams do not look GOD AWFUL in preseason. This Giant team is living down to all of my concerns: non existent running game, worn down O Line, overrated D still living on the laurels of 2007-half of 2008. The D will get its shit together and be serviceable, The O will be mediocre to bad all year.

I think the D will get better as the year goes on, the secondary should be ok and the LB’s don’t look so bad, the DTs will be an issue but maybe they can be a bend but don’t break D . . . the O depends on the line.

Not to defend them but
outside of Roll and Bradshaw, not much good to say about the G-Men tonight . . . though the Jets don’t look much better. . . a better team would be hammering the G-men right now.
