I really just hope no one gets hurt. I hate seeing season ending injuries in preseason

Same here.

It’s PS, I don’t care about the result I just want see everyone healthy out there.

by plektor on Aug 15, 2010 8:25 AM EDT reply actions

the casualty report

from this week’s games are already starting to pile up…colt mcoy, larry fitzgerald, ryan grant. some big names getting hurt for absolutely no reason.

i know the argument is “nothing can prevent a player from getting hurt, whether its pre-season or regular”

but come on, there’s literally no reason for the stars and first stringers for be out there for even one possession and take the risks for games that mean nothing.

While i really wanted to vote for the Gilbride, Rex option

I care more about having our guys be healthy and uninjured

No one get hurt

but I hope Rex gets hit in the head with a football and Gilbride says “Ha HA!” like Nelson

I want to see

the Offensive Line and how they perform…..I hope they have a little bit of their attitude, swagger whatever you want to call it…..

I want a return to 08 with the running game and it starts with the Offensive Line

I believe that era is gone

it’s time to use Eli and the WR’s in a major passing assault. Should we give up the run? Hell no, we still need 4 YPC

by The Curse on Aug 15, 2010 12:44 PM EDT up reply actions

No injuries is more important

the list on our team from just training camp is already long and rediculous lets not add on to that.

No injuries is ALL that I care about.

As much as the trash talk is starting to bother me, if the Jets believe that this is what they have to do to build their confidence then so be it. I have enough confidence in the Giants ability to get the job done so a win or a loss this Monday will not sway my thinking. As long as all of our key players escape without harm than that will be the win or loss as far as I am concerned.

I'm a little concerned

with O’hara not 100% and Snee out. I don’t want to see the Jets blowing up the A gap and hitting Eli

by The Curse on Aug 15, 2010 12:45 PM EDT up reply actions

No legitimate Giants fan would want to see that.

But what can we do. O’Hara is our best Center even if he is not 100%. Snee can share his experience with his likely replacement. This is the prime time for Eli to fully come in to his own. Thats what is is getting the big bucks and all the credit for. So lets see if he is up to the task.

I guess

what I’m saying is I hope Rex understands this is preseason and doesn’t take advantage of the injuries with all out blitzes.

I know the guy has a massive ego problem.

…but to your point we should get to see how Eli and the WR’s will handle the pressure. I’d really like to see Eli burn them deep and force their hand to pay Revis.

by Bobbiblue on Aug 15, 2010 12:05 PM EDT reply actions

How about

i just want to see the Offense move the ball and the defense get a sack. After they leave the field I’m really not concerned.

by The Curse on Aug 15, 2010 12:43 PM EDT reply actions

Our injuries to me are a blessing in disguise.

If this were the regular season, would any of our injured be in jeopardy of not suiting up? This is the question we should all be asking ourselves. This is all strictly precautionary I’d assume, we aren’t as wounded as we appear. At least we know the non participants will be around to practice come Wednesday, instead of us mourning their loss for the 2010 season. Silver lining folks.

There is another funny part of this..

When I returned to my seat..My wife (who misses absolutley nothing) asks me what that commotion was about..I told her “Nuttinn Honey…would you like more coffee?”..She just looked at me and knew I had an episode..She can read my eyes..

A win would be nice

I’d like the Giants to win the game because it’d be nice to open the stadium with the win, but the game really isn’t that important. It’s just preseason. We don’t have to play to win this game. Let’s just evaluate our talent so we can be successful in the regular season when it counts.

by AllGiants on Aug 15, 2010 1:01 PM EDT reply actions

The missing option

is to have the starters leave after two series with a 14-0 lead and get everybody out healthy. That’s the option I’m pulling for. After that it’s a fun game of trying to match figures on the field with the names I’ve been seeing in the practice reports.

The Gilbride punching Ryan option

was too funny not to vote for, but I really hope no season ending injuries. No Osi or Alford repeats

I dont understand the hate on Rex Ryan

The dude is a pretty good coach and has a good personality. Yeah he coaches the Jets… so what? Ya can’t hate on him just for that.

And let the Jets talk all they want. They gotta go through us if they wanna win the a championsip. Talk is cheap.

Posting here for the first time

I grew up a 49ers fan (obviously), but lived in NYC for several years, and like the G-Men a lot.

I second the observations about injuries, find Rex Ryan to be a lot more entertaining than most coaches, but want the following most of all:

I want Brandon Jacobs to return to form, and run over Antonio Cromartie, whose playoff performance against the Jets last season may be the softest day’s work I’ve ever seen by someone who gets paid to play football professionally…Ideally, I would like Jacobs to run over him Laron Landry style.

Seeing all of the starters who are not even going to play

I’m changing my vote to the one about nobody else getting hurt. Geez, this is getting ridiculous.

At this point the Giants are doing ok

all of their injuries ahve been minor, shit we can deal with and still be out there opening day. Sure we lost Hixon, but honestly he was the KR / 4th WR. I was listening to the Opening Drive on Sirius NFL this morning and man, there are a TON of teams out there who have lost BIG pieces. And they didn’t even mention Ty Warren with the Pats. That’s about the 4th most important player the Pats have. Gone. That’s like us losing Tuck or Smith for the year. Jesus Christ in heaven, no injuries! And F the Jets

You play to win the game!
