Training Camp Battles

As we approach training camp, let's take a look at some of the position battles.   Reply with the name of whom you expect to win the job heading into Week 1.  There are plenty from which to choose. Actually, I can't remember the last time this many spots were open for change.  Some of the 2009 incumbents won't be contested too much but I included them for the sake of posterity.

Andre Brown.
Ramses Barden. (i hope)
Bear Pascoe. (cooler name)
David Diehl
Will Beatty
Osi Umenyiora
Jonathan Goff
Michael Johnson
Mario Manningham (I know he’s never done it, but he shows the skillset and Ross is too delicate)

Just guesses...

Bradshaw will deserve it, Jacobs will get it
Johnson, though none of the above has as good of a chance
Barden
Pascoe, but again, neither of the above with as good of a chance
Seubert vs. Diehl isn’t the battle, it’s Seubert vs. Beatty, Diehl starts somewhere.
see line above, this is the wrong set-up
Kiwi
Goff
Johnson
Moss, though none of the above would be my favorite choice

TE

Beckum will not be used like a TE. He’ll be used like a halfback.

H-Back?

Yeah

You put TE no. 3 instead of no. 2.

1. Boss
2. Pascoe or Chandler

Beckum is listed as a TE but he’s really just a h-back. He couldn’t replace Boss if Boss got hurt.

Camp Battles

Jacobs is the starter hands down
Brown is three or 2 i like bradshaw as a 3rd down back
Barden as the 4th
Chandler by default because beckum isn’t a true TE
Seubert at Guard
Diehl at LT
Kiwi Osi’s not healthy
Dilliard don’t like neither one of the 2 guys in front of him
Ras’had Johnson has fell off since his good rookie season
Brown but we should see what else is out there in free agency
