DO WE HAVE A GAME BREAKER?

DO WE HAVE GAME BREAKER??

Star-divide

Do we have a game breaker? Maybe ,maybe not. Early on there was some excitment about Bralee Edwards, I believe Eli was in his corner. That tells you something about Eli's wanting a little insurance for his talented but young receivers. They show great potential but may not be bankable just yet.  Eli, the team and the fans deserve more insurance.  Do you genuinely feel comfortable without a proven vet threat wide receiver steppp[ing into the fold and leading (maybe even teaching them things only a seasoned vet can do) these young receivers. A genuine star receiver, would probably motivate our young guys to compete even harder, before they could just waltz into a possible starting role.

Have these young receivers truly blossomed yet? Maybe, but I  would not have gambled on it.  There was Bralee, Brandon and Antonio Homes who are next door neighbors picked up for a steal ! Why didn't we  seek out a vet receiver? Create a little excitement! I know we are not a "showboat" team and I respect that but there are always exceptions to the rule. Why can't we acquire an exciting receiver and create some excitment and sizzlle we so rarely get a taste of as giant fans.  Look what Buress did for the fans, the team and foremost, Eli. Eli,needs and deserves that deep threat sure handed receiver! I love our young receivers but are any  of  them ready to step in and be our GAME BREAKER ??

Wtf?

Bralee. Brandon. and Antonio. You sir, are drunk blogging on a Monday night.

And yes. Hakeem Nicks.

Your inebriation notwithstanding

the Giants are fine at WR. They have a reliable WR in Smith, a playmaker in Nicks, a speedster in Manningham who has game-breaking speed, and tall target in Barden, if he ever plays.

Having game-breakers is overrated. A rebirth of the running game and an improvement on last year’s 22nd red zone ranking is all this offense needs.

Gamebreakers?

Lets see…Hakeem Nicks? Yup. Mario Manningham? Yep. Dark horse, Ramses Barden..yep.

RB? Ahmed Bradshaw..yep.

Who are these gamebreakers? Bralee? Is this …Braylon Edwards? Do we want his stone hands?

Brandon Marshall? He’s not a gamebreaker, he’s a possession WR, we have that…SS12 is what he may go by.

Antonio?…Antonio Bryant? He’s a knucklehead, Giants don’t like knuckleheads. ANd if that really was Santonio Holmes…he’s also a knucklehead.

Go New York Go!

Bomar would command too much attention.

they’d have at least 9 defenders dedicated to stoping him. although i still think he could get open.

Is it Sept yet!

Edwards, Holmes???

Are you kidding me. Steve Smith is, in my eyes a veteran receiver, and one that in my eyes is a better player than Holmes and Edwards. Holmes made one huge catch that is keeping his image alive. Forget off the field. Edwards shouldn’t be dropping balls like he does for a veteran and forget off the field. Nicks will pass them both and Manningham too. Giants have a lot to be excited about with their receiving corp. Ask Eli.

THANK YOU

thanks for responding to a fellow giant fan without all the unnecessary obnoxious comments that my other fellow giant fans felt obligated to convey. I’m not thin skinned but I really was somewhat surprised by their crassness and disrespect for another fans viewpoint.
FYI – my wife and I were rooting for steve smith since he made his first catch. He will obviously join the ranks of the elite this year. To me, he is already there.
Also, all I had was praise for our younger receivers, I even said I loved them!! I only felt we needed some insurance because I had some doubt as to whether they were completely ready to step up.Did hakeem and manningham see enough playing time and did we see enough of what they can do on a consistent level (rookie mistakes were made) to put our complete confidence in them? Maybe, maybe not. I hope I am dead wrong and veteran insurance was not necessary.
The post I wrote, was written with respect for the giants ( without resorting to obnoxious sarcasm), just a fellow fan who wanted to share his thoughts.
thanks,

I don't think anyone was disrespecting your viewpoint.

If you want to be taken more seriously, things like the correct spelling of player names (one can only assume Bralee = Braylon Edwards, but how can we be sure? Antonio Holmes = Santonio Holmes or Antonion Bryant, again, who knows?) go a long way.

"With the game on the line. I want the ball in my hands."
