Giants By The Numbers: 93 Is For ...
Mike Fox.
A defensive lineman with the Giants from 1990-94, he was primarily a 3-4 defensive end if memory serves correctly. A decent player who compiled 9.5 sacks with the Giants before moving on to Carolina for four seasons.
- Brian Sisley was a reserve defensive end who played three games in his NFL career in 1987. He was the first player I can find who wore the No. 93 with the Giants.

Good Choice
This is a good choice. Mike (2nd round choice) played 79 games for us and started 41 of those. He had 9.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovered for us. He had total of 105 tackles with 11 assists for the Giants. Then he went to Carolina and played there 1995 to 1998 before retiring.
While in college (West Virginia) in 1989 he had a total of 10 sacks from any position besides DL or LB.
I could find only 2 other who wore this number for us were:
Ryan Haley 1999-2000
Chuck Wiley 2004
Being a New York Football Giants fan or a player is not a label but it is a calling!
Let Us Start A Movement: Bring Back Tyree and Get Rid of Moss!
The right choice....
Though with so few players having worn the number, it’s a bit different than the Shofner/Tyree discussion ;-D
Fox occupied space
Maybe you could say he was better than Dorsey. But it’s not a great accomplishment.
Given that I have no memory of Sisley, and the year (1987) and 3 games, and I’m thinking he must have been a replacement player during the strike.
