Dick James

Halfback Dick James wore #47 for the Giants. He and Andy Stynchula [#72] came to the Giants in the -mid 1960's, when the Giants traded Sam Huff to the Redskins. Along with Joe Morrison , Dick was part of the "Pony Backfield" for the next  2-3 years for the Giants. He was, by today's standards, quite small at 5' 9" and 180 lbs, but he was productive as a runner and receiver for a short [pun intended] time while with the Giants.
