Lighten Up. It's Friday.
Hey, we didn't get busted with any sixteen year-old hookers! (Right? Everyone accounted for? Ed? Anyone seen Ed? OK.) So let's have a little week-ending levity. This place could use some. Check out this Deadspin article about Giants vs. Jets management these days. My favorite quote:
"Jeff wasn't hungry, but he ate a second hoagie on principle. "I decided to average out my meatball sandwich to $4.25 each by eating another that didn't cost a penny," he said. "It was glorious.""
"Like most second-class citizens — your fat playground bully, your doucherapey frat boy — the Jets organization flexes its muscles at the weakest creatures within reach: in this case, its own fans, the loyal sacks who've endured decades of failure in someone else's stadium for no reason other than that's what their fathers did, and their grandfathers too. These fans should be eagerly anticipating the season after last year's playoff surge, but instead of looking forward to The Sanchize and Rex Ryan on Hard Knocks they're too busy battling insult and injury."

Wow
That’s a huge difference between the two.
Never assume skill at bouncing a ball makes you smarter than the guy who built the court.

And wow
the jets are responsible for all those Luxury boxes everywhere
The new stadium’s overall look represents a win for the Jets. The Giants had pushed for a traditional brick structure with luxury suites stacked on one side that would cost about $800 million. Mr. Johnson’s design team preferred a sleek, modern $1 billion structure with luxury boxes circling the stadium and exclusive restaurants and clubs on every side.
I really hate that.

Yea, that little tidbit will come in handy the next time a Jets fan starts spewing that working-class team bullshit.
No Joke, Pat Hanlon tweeted and re-tweeted this article over and over again....
quite frankly it made me sick.
the article is cool and all….but I was never into this Giants/Jets rivalry….I mean, it’s not a rivalry. Point blank, period. It’s not a rivalry. Watching the Jets lose does absolutely nothing for me….watching them win does absolutely nothing for me.
They coulda won the SB last year….i still could care less…..ok, now maybe that’s a stretch. But seriously, they’re not on my “radar”. We’re the Giants….
But what bothers me about Hanlon is this…..he’s the VP of communications….he’s a fairly good sized “wig”…..why is he acting like a 5 year old, constantly re tweeting that article????
Is it because they actually mentioned him by name and he wants the whole world to know???
Is it because he believes this Giants / Jets thing is really that important?
Or is it because he’s just a sophomoric jerk???
I’m leaning towards the latter….
