Yeah, he was a huge star
In high school as a running back/linebacker. He played for Don Bosco, right? I remember him being named the best player in the state his senior year. Which also reminds me just how tough it is to make it to the pros. Good luck Brian!
i went to school
at ramapo college right by don bosco. small world huh

Dennis Landolt?!?!?
Traitor! I knew the Landolt’s. They went to my high school and were Eagles fans. How dare he!
Ha, there was some dude on our site that knows Micah that was seriously pushing for the Eagles to draft him in the 2nd.
well he is a good player
Kinda like Jamar Chaney I was surprised the fell where they did. For a while I wouldn’t have minded them as the Giants 2nd rounder too.

Keep Micah
This guy looks like a beast! Although I would like someone who Hates the Eagles, so He’d tear there heads off! haha

Me too
Damn Philly for getting Chaney, and Damn Jax for taking my sleeper in Deji Karim
Peyton May Have The Wins!!
But Eli Will Have The Rings!!!
Well i dnt know
I think there were plenty players we wanted but we just werent willing to trade up or back this year, we took the wait and see approach, but u could be right I just refuse to believe that we got exactly who we wanted all along even though we had a very good draft its just too many players, even Philly and NE didnt get everybody they wanted with all those picks
Peyton May Have The Wins!!
But Eli Will Have The Rings!!!
Chaney was picked in the 7th round. Like FreeB said, if we wanted him we would have picked him
Bleeding Blue since 1962
I wanted Chaney
I didnt say they did, dnt know where you or Free saw that but just cause you dont get a player doesnt mean you dnt want him even if its the 7th round, maybe Chaney had an F/A grade from them, its just who has the best arguments in the later rounds for a certain player, its not a consensus in those rounds…… last year Jerry Reese didnt even really know who Deandre Wright or Stoney Woodson was but the scouts from there regions spoke them up to the point where reese said their measurables are good and decided to take them, he didnt know anything about those guys like that but he took them anyway…….. And if Feagles didnt decide he cant play then we dnt draft Dodge, we go to a different player so who knows who that may have been but my point is I think they had more than 7 players they wanted but they dnt draft greedy.
Peyton May Have The Wins!!
But Eli Will Have The Rings!!!
thought he would
Have been drafted…I mentioned him a while back…he might be a great steal if he sticks

I think they like for real, signed Landolt too
$25,000 I believe. He’s got a real good chance of being a Giant too.
Hopefully he doesn’t have a Winston Justice moment if he’s playing against the Eagles and T-Rex Graham

I can't help it!
I keep saying his name over and over. It rolls over the tongue awesomely. For some reason, I think he belongs in the Lord of the Rings, but I can’t for the life of me figure out why…
Nah, can't convert his name into spanish

Michael Greco is, at the very least, going to push Sha'reff Rashad off of the practice squad.
He’s a beast of an open field tackler and cover guy. Dixon is an interesting one. Used to be part of a one-two punch with Donald Brown.
Bleeding Blue since 1962
That is true but switched to SS in his senior year and had an immediate impact.
Defensive backs who are former QB’s excel due to recognition skils, i.e. Corey Webster.
Bleeding Blue since 1962
YEAH TIM BROWN
I was so disappointed to see that nobody took a flier on this speed demon out of Rutgers (although happy to see DeImperio go to the Vikes late in the draft).
I’ve seen this kid play and anyone who remembers his 80 odd yard TD to come back and kill UConn in the waning seconds knows he has flashed some play making potential.
I really hope he busts his ass and can displace Sinorice Moss as our small (i.e 5’8" or so) burner
- Mohamed Sanu: A Giant in Two Years-
Hell yeah
I’m Rutgers ’08, and I watched him for a couple years as he blossomed into an explosive playmaker for them…always overshadowed by Britt and Underwood until his final year, but I think he has the talent to justify a late round flier, let alone an UFA signing. I hope he makes something of the opportunity.

Oh man, got potential in Micah Johnson and Andre Dixon
Johnson brings size and is a thumper in the middle. Speed is decent. Doesn’t have the quick twitch, but is adequate enough as a read-and-react MLB. This guy’s potential could probably displace Gerris Wilkinson.
Andre Dixon might push Gartrell for the 5th spot behind Ahmad, Brandon, Ware, and Brown

cuz I know there was a DT on their team, he was supposed to be good too and get drafted high..amazing how that turns out in reality.
I think it was Vince Ogobasse. I thought the Giants like was the UN.

Anderson!
I remember liking Anderson last year and was really hoping he’d get a chance to prove himself on the roster. I’m glad he’s getting another chance this year. Vince Anderson!
Tommie Hill baby
the king of last years pre season LMAO
Peyton May Have The Wins!!
But Eli Will Have The Rings!!!
Micah Johnson!
Surprised he wasn’t drafted. Good move by the Giants to bring him in. Was he passed over due to an injury?
Did anyone
else notice the report that we nearly traded Cofield to the Saints for what I would guess would have been their 3rd round pick.
However, an extension could not be agreed and the deal collapsed.

I seen it too...
I think that we may be surprised at who’s on that final roster come opening day.
They may be holding fort for now, but I think that’s just giving some a chance. More players still need to be held accountable for last year.
by FreeBradshaw on Apr 26, 2010 6:13 PM EDT up reply actions
Joseph is starting
I said it before, the giants want to start this kid and bernard and another dt might be release or traded……..giants are very tired and upset of the play last year from their defensive linemen.
I don't think Joseph would "start"
but I think he will definitely get a good amount of snaps every game.
Bernard will probably get cut though, I don’t see how he makes the team.
by mclaren_is_the_best on Apr 26, 2010 6:27 PM EDT up reply actions
Bernard could make the team
He could threaten to eat the coaching staff.
yea Bernard's gone.
I mean I can see how they keep him till camp…live bodies duking it out in camp is always a good thing when you’re creating a “survival of the fittest” type thing.
Aside from Tuck, and may be Osi so his feelings don’t get hurt, calling some one a starter on our line just doesn’t matter.
They’re all gonna play. If all these guys are healthy that line will be the wall we all wanted it to be last year.
The dude I’m more worried about then all a them is Nate Collins. He’s gonna be our Mo Evans of last year…can he find a spot if he earns it?
by FreeBradshaw on Apr 26, 2010 6:42 PM EDT up reply actions
I think Rocky stays
I think he comes in and actually starts before Linval takes that spot maybe around week 6 or so but out DT depth should be Canty, Linval, Rock, and Jay
Peyton May Have The Wins!!
But Eli Will Have The Rings!!!
I’m farely certain Bernard won’t make it through camp. Cofield will have o win the job and Canty is the other starter at the 3-technique. I think Joseph wins job at NT. Cofield is your 3rd DT …he’s played the NT the last two years and doesn’t offer much pass rush and is undersized but is solid so I think the bigger Joseph wins by default and Alford is the forth unless someone comes to camp and outperforms him.
by TheBXRepresenta on Apr 26, 2010 8:49 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
Alford
Was really looking like he was ready to give them plenty of quality PT last year. He had really worked hard in the off season on his strength and conditioning. It was a shame he got hurt. I hope he’s 100% healthy and as well conditioned this year. If he is, he is definitely a big part of the tackle rotation IMO.
ONE MORE PERSON TO GET
ADALIUS THOMAS
by AT2344 on Apr 26, 2010 6:26 PM EDT via mobile reply actions
Adailus has the same attitude
the Giants are trying to purge from the roster.
If you can’t buy in with Belicheck and the Patriots, you can’t buy in.
Let him go to the Jets. Who eve cares if he becomes a star again. He’s a bad fit for us anyway.
by FreeBradshaw on Apr 26, 2010 6:39 PM EDT up reply actions
Woot! Micah Johnson
Excellent. I wanted us to get him the 5th-7th round range. He’s a great player. He didn’t get drafted because of his knee issues and 40 time (which had something to do with his knee injuries). He’s a steal and I’m sure he’ll make the team.
Micah Johnson tore his MCL in his knee...
in the Music City Bowl. One of my NFL draft magazines had him projected to be drafted higher than Phillip Dillard. Maybe he will be on the upswing and make the team.
I like our draft for DE, DT and S.Also, our free agent Ss and the return (we hope) of Kenny Phillips. We need a better rush, better run stoppage and better coverage.
I think you just said we need to improve our entire D
Pass rush, run stopping, and coverage. Yep. That’s everything on defense.
And hopefully you’re right about Johnson, cause if he can run faster than a healthy Spikes on a bum knee, he shouldn’t be too bad after a couple more months. First-team SEC his junior year, gotta mean something.
What about John Henderson?
Wasn’t he released by the jags?
by Dfence on Apr 26, 2010 10:03 PM EDT via mobile reply actions
Hey, didn't notice it until it was posted on Shutdown Corner
But we got that 33 year old rookie DE, Brandon Crawford from Ball State. The former marine. That’s pretty f’in cool. Hope he makes the team.
I really hope he makes it
That would be a real team-morale builder, plus its a neat story.
"Son, Nobody is half as good as Mickey Mantle"
Carson Butler
I went to Michigan while camp invitees Carson Butler and Ruben Riley were there…. Riley wasn’t anything to write home about, actually was forced to play out of position at RT opposite Jake Long for 2 years…. Carson Butler on the other hand is immensely talented. He is unusually athletic and fluid for such a big guy. He has good hands too… I don’t think he blocks too well, but if he gets his act together, he has some upside as a pass catcher….
I will say based on some off the field issues that I know he had at Michigan, I find it hard to imagine him truly getting his act together… but it’s worth noting the high upside…
interesting look at why draft grades are dumb
C-/C
GIANTS — Is this fair? You call Losman part of Buffalo’s draft, so why isn’t Eli Manning considered part of New York’s, since it cost them this year’s first-round pick? I don’t know, maybe it was because other things were involved. This isn’t a bad draft, really, just a thin one. Four measly picks. Corner Corey Webster can play. Maybe DE Justin Tuck can supply a bit of a rush. Brandon Jacobs, the 266-pound RB swears that he’ll pick up the yard, on fourth and one, that Ron Dayne is still looking for.
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/dr_z/04/26/z.draft.grades/3.html
Nice!
How’s that Losman deal looking now?
