With the additions of an explosive raw immensely talented rush defensive end specialist, Jason Pierre Paul and a massive quick fat DT, Linval Joseph who's a run stopper we have the ability to be very creative on defense. Joseph is a NT type who will eat blockers up and make tackles in the backfield. He could allow us to run sone very exotic confusing packages. We could run a little 3-4, some 4-3, including the 4 aces, a Tampa 2 with zone blitzing/coverage package. Confusing the QB and getting after him is our recipe to succeed. A healthy Canty with Cofield and Joseph and a returning Alford will give us multiple confusing fronts. Add to the mix a rotation of former Pro Bowl players who were not 100% in Tuck and Osi, the reliable Kiwi and our "project" 1st rounder who has a knack for making big plays in the backfield and it adds up to success. Dominate the line of scrimmage, rush the QB, hit him, hurry him, force him into bad decisions. The optomistic approach here looks extremely imposing and if these guys are healthy and hungry to get back to championship form then lookout. We are built to pressure and with our playmakers in the secondary, Rolle, a healthy KP or CJ possibly (KP insurance)this bodes very well long term for us.
