Obviously not that he pertains to us in any way whatsoever, but couldn't help but think as I'm stealing movies through kickasstorrents and piratebay late tonight, everyone is wondering what it is that made him fall. Supposed top 10 talent, blah blah blah, (personally, even if we were in the market for a QB I wouldn't want him, even where he was drafted today as you'll see below) and I don't think it was his injured toe.
In the NFL today, character is HUGE. While Clausen may not have gotten in trouble with the law, ya know, slangin' coke, shooting strippers, doing his sister...the overall consensus, from what I've read, is that for a lack of a better term, this guy is an asshole. If that's the case, and I mean super asshole, cause we all have our moments, I couldn't help but think that it may be the reason why he dropped.
I'm curious what you guys think. I know if I was in a position to draft a QB and he checked out physically, mentally, etc, but he just came off as an overly arrogant prick, and I mean total douche, that alone would definitely make me think how the other guys are going to react to him. This guy is supposed to be the leader of my team, and super douchedom wouldn't go over well, I would think. And yes, confidence is a wonderful trait, but we're not talking confidence, we're talking cocky, with the emphasis on, well, you know.
I have no idea if this is the case, but it really got me thinking. So....
