I prefer Kyle Calloway then Bruce Campbell
kyle calloway is much more nasty, but he’s not as athletic.
its a toss up between the two.
Hopefully donald butler falls. For all you spooners out there, donald butler is just as vocal as he is.
im shocked griffen didn’t get drafted either.
I'd be happy with all those you mentioned
not really Griffen tho..I don’t see the point right now

We pass on Donald Butler…
OK, looks like the front office has a lot of faith in Goff huh?
I like Chad Jones. He doesn’t have that much range but he’s a beast box safety. His closing speed reminds me of Polamalu.
Would’ve still prefered a LB. Maybe Reese has a LB in the later rounds in mind.
Safety is just as important if Phillips isn't healthy.
Jones is a great pick here. Great value. He’s a second round player who dropped a bit due to some workout warriors passing him over.
Yeah I wonder if there's LB's in PF new defense
World Series attitude, champagne bottle life, nothing every changes so tonight is like tomorrow night.
We have to get Morrison now

You realize Phillips might not play, right?
I mean, have you even thought about that?
Jones is a great grab. 2nd round value in the 3rd round.
Kenny Phillips should not be relied on
Deon Grant is just a backup.
So that leaves Antrelle Rolle.
Chad Jones can be a very good player.
He can be a LB too..he’s HUGE.

Question
When everyone says “this must mean that Morrison trade is going to happen” is it wishful thinking, or were there actual rumors and reports that this could happen?
I don't think there are any rumors from the giants
and i hope there won’t be, morrison is not good.

Wishful thinking
No proof yet that “It Lies Beneath” is letting go of Morrison yet.
by Well-Rounded Cube on Apr 23, 2010 9:13 PM EDT up reply actions
OK
Knowing the Giants have zero interest in a starting caliber MLB, I’m starting to feel much better about the Linval Joseph pick.
Goff isn’t bad. Myself and a few others have mentioned here and there we shouldn’t give up on him. He looked awful the last 2 weeks, but who else didn’t? Terrell Thomas give up his first 2 TDs of the year those last few games and Tuck couldn’t get off a block. Hopefully Goff can take his game to the next level.
starters
KP
Rolle
main backup – Chad BEAST Jones
for leadership and in case someone gets hurt – Deon Grant
by mclaren_is_the_best on Apr 23, 2010 9:12 PM EDT reply actions
Actually
Deon grant says that Fewell likes to use 3 safeties in his defense, so that’s why he signed here. chad jones is going to play, definitely.
I just wrote pretty much the same thing above.
Fewell likes 3 safeties in his dime package
Bleeding Blue since 1962
Kp might not be starting
Who knows if he will be ready for game 1
Is Grant that bad at this point?
I always remembered him being a serviceable starter if nothing else…
He's better than grant
Grant is okay but is old and playing just for 1year for the giants
how the hell could you not?
We got friggin Hercules on our line
by FreeBradshaw on Apr 23, 2010 9:15 PM EDT up reply actions
so what happens when a RB pops the DL
who is there to stop them our wonderful LBs?
Jones is a tremendous pick.
The few people actually complaining about this make me laugh. Phillips might not be able to play. JR needs to go into this year with that in mind.
Grant is a back-up at best in this stage of his career.
Jones is 2nd round value (in this draft) in the 3rd round. Tremendous pick by JR.
Workout warriors passed him over in the last few weeks. He’s better than a number of these DBs selected ahead of him.
Dreadlocks of Doom
He’s a Good Returner as well as Safety. He can add Good Depth at Safety. He could Fill in this year at Safety And be a Good Back up next year when Grant goes. All while taking The Kick offs

if he dropped to them
because Canty is the prototypical 3 tech, I would love a backup plan

akwasi owusu-ansah
and dejii karim in rounds 4&5?
Great night for the G-men tonight...
Gotta admit JR and the gang were dialed in..No pussy-foot’in around..No trading up and down..just zeroed in on their target..Took care of filling that pot-hole in the middle of our DL..Now it is off to find some OL talent where we usually do..late rounds..big dunk’in donut eaters that get pissed when they can’t eat for sixty minutes on a Sunday…As for MLB..Mr. Goff..it is your job to win or lose..After tonight, I’d venture to say that our draft so far is now officially ‘decent’..Seattle,Detroit,Oakland and the 49-ers had good drafts which is to be expected (afterall you have to really suck to be at the cream of the crop table)..Dallas hasn’t had any luck fixing their OL..(good)..The Eagles must be off renting more Post Office bulletin board space for their fan mugshots, the Skins , geez I don’t know what they are doing..My two most confusing picks: McClain to the Raiders..Why?..and Spiller to Buffalo..no QB..Double-why?..and that is not because I would have liked us to get them, it just doesn’t make sense…Anyways we did have primarily a BPA draft thus far..but the ‘P’ in this case stands for Potential for the most part…

that Dallas part makes me laugh.
they drafted 2 ILB’s last year.
Also Dez Bryant has an irregular heart beat. That’s not good.
The best thing I heard about all the Giants picks..is that while they may all be raw….all these scouting reports say these guys have the potential to be the best at their position in the entire draft.
Like if JPP, Joseph and Jones all played at a big time college..3 or 4 years of starting…the Giants never end up with these dudes. All probably top 10 talents.

JR realizes it doesn’t matter if they are polished or raw, Coughlin ain’t putting a rookie on the field lol.

I think a rather humorous topic we could pull together would be..
Draftee translations..by that I mean how did they really feel and what did they really mean by their expressions?..How many smiley faces when interpreted and translated really meant: “Oh fuck, I have to play for these bozos !!?”..I am certain that there are alot of them out there that would rather have been in that bar with our beloved CJ..drinking spilled beer with barbecue sauce chasers..lol
