What to do, what to do?
The drafting of JPP will absolutly cause a ruccus in the NYG locker room, as far as DEs go. Osi has been rumored to be traded and wants to start, Kiwi wants to start for the Gents or someone else, and JPP is going to soon be having 20+ sack seasons. So what do we do with this crowded, very talented D Line?
JPP will need time to develop, no doubt about it. So lets be optimistic and say itll take 2-3 full seasons for him to be considered the number 1 starter for the Giants. What to do in the mean time with Osi and Kiwi?
Here's what i think the Giants should do. Trade no one. Let this season play out with Osi, Kiwi, and JPP all getting playing time. JPP on passing downs only at LE. Move tuck and kiwi inside, JPP and Osi from the outside (i just got wet). And theres our passing down dline for 2010.
When 2010 is up, im sorry for this because I know he is very liked at BBV, but let Kiwi go find a starting job somewhere else in the NFL. osi has 3 years left on his contract and is only 29 this year. let JPP do what Kiwi did.. learn behind Osi for a few years and come in when needed or for rotation. Once Osi's contract is up, let him go, and JPP moves in there as the full time starter.
so.. whats the verdict?
