UPDATED: Pics of The New Digs

My mother does sideline photography for The Giants, College teams, etc... Last night she used some of her connections to shoot the Big City Classic Lacrosse games. Its was really a chance to check out the New Meadowlands. I also took some photos which I can add later of the concourses, coaches club, bathrooms, bars, etc. Have a look. Enjoy.

Its hard to see here, but there are 5 levels of suites between the tiers. 2 between the first and second, 3 between the second and third.

notice, no overhang between the levels so dont expect to stay dry down there, unless youre in the last of the endzone seats. The first levels seem smaller.

HD sign boards... very cool. All around the outside.

They did not light up the outside with a color. Weird because of the last four teams playing, 3 of them wore orange.

My thoughts: Very industrial looking. Lots of exposed beam construction. No architectural finishes to speak of (yet?) All steel with some glass. Very big concourses. A lot less concrete than the old stadium. The tunnels are weird (not centered in the end zones)

Looks cool

As for the name, it should be called simply, “The Meadowlands”. No “stadium”, or corporate naming right BS. Everybody knows what “The Meadowlands” is when you say it, even outside of NY/NJ.

I believe so. They are doing the demo of the old stadium.

the exterior of the place is hideous

you look at places like Lucas Oil or Jerry World, they went out of their way to make the place aestehetically attractive. When I saw the exterior last year I couldn’t believe it. It looks like a giant steel Bose radio. Oh well. As long as the team kicks ass there we’ll all be happy.

Looks good,maybe a little too gray or silver or whatever(seats and the outside paneling)Also disappointed we have no retractable roof,as we would have a more than legit shot at Super Bowl.Maybe we can still get in the run for the Summer Olympics,or even Winter Olympics,thanks to Xanadu(LM-F*CK!NG-AO)

Hey FB and S-M,thats funny stuff....

…but now Sanchez would have plenty of people competing for urinal cake rights,Cromartie and Puffy Holmes come to mind.Brickhand Edwards graffiti mural on some exposed blocks somewhere.Maybe the hot dog vendors will dress up like Rex and tell the fans to “Go F*ck themselves” after they just paid $15 for a hot dog and a beer.The possibilities are endless and I’m getting carried away,so I will digress……for now
