Trade Osi or Kiwi?

The Giants cannot head into 2010 with both Mathias Kiwanuka and Osi Umenyiora.  They both want to start and circumstance revolving around each player dictate that the Giants must move one.

Osi has wanted a new contract since his 2007 season.  He was injured in 2008 and had a bad season in 2009.  If he has a big season in 2010, I could see him chirping until he gets a new deal.  Aaron Kampman, five months removed from an ACL injury, got $6.5 million per year.  A big year for Osi and he'll want much more.  The guy thinks he's a premier pass rusher even when he doesn't play like one.  What do you think will happen when his game matches his mouth?  On the flip side, if he has a bad year, he loses his value completely.  It would be 3 bad years in a row and nobody would give you decent value for a talkative, sensitive, and underachieving player.

Kiwi will be a UFA in 2011.  The only way he is an RFA is if there isn't a CBA in 2011.  However, the point is moot because if there's no CBA, then there's probably a lockout.   That would mean he'd just be a UFA in 2012 or whenever the CBA was finally instituted. If we don't trade him or sign him to a new deal, he's going to leave for nothing at the end of next season.  With the influx of new D-linemen and Osi's return in 2009, he complained about being buried on the depth chart.  He feels that he is a starter - rightly or wrongly - and I think he'd gladly take the opportunity to be one on another team, if he gets the chance.

So what do you guys think the Giants should do?
