Who will be our backup QB?
According to Ralphie V and others, it looks like David Carr is on his way to Arizona. I don't even know who our third stringer is - Rhett Bomar? What should we oughta do here? Are there other free agent QBs out there we want to look at? Chad Pennington, say? Or maybe draft a pup? If so, which pup? And when? Not before defense, surely. (yeah yeah, stop calling you "shirley." ) But seriously, what say you, Giant fans?

Rhett Bomar was our “pup” from last year so I’m betting it will be him and someone else (hopefully FA) competing for the job

Culpepper?
Is Culpepper available? He would make a great number 2. Or we could draft Tebow in the 6th round. Lol
Oh dear god no Culpepper.
That guy’s a walking Admission of Defeat. I see Ed suggested Mark Brunell…um, no. I vote for Pennington.
I left my swagger in my other pants.
Oh well. He went back to the Fins.
Any of the pups interest you? I’m a huge Tebow fan, but he’s wrong for the Giants. (Unless he wanted to switch to MLB.)
I left my swagger in my other pants.
Tebow can be our wildcat MLB
….
I think Bomar’s fine as the backup.
Obviously it would be nice to have someoen with experience, but I think if Eli’s gone for a long time..we’re f’d in the a anyway, so let the kid get some run.
I wouldn’t be against Culpepper..I’m sure there’s some other retreads out there too (they found Carr…)
Master of the squeegee
Delhomme?
For a small salary – the Panthers still owe him $12 million - I wouldn’t be too opposed to Delhomme, I think. What say you?

I love that idea.
Would the Manning family have to fill out adoption paperwork, though? ;-)
I left my swagger in my other pants.
Carr
The Giants Know what Carr is doing. He is looking for a chance to start for a team. If he can not find a team willing to give him a solid chance to start for that team he is coming back to the Giants. Both TC and JR want him back and know of his need & chance to start on a team and did not want to hold him back but still wanted to hold the position open for him until the position needs to be addressed. Carr will be the backup again this year.
Carr
Carr got his place with a chance to start. I was hoping he would not find that team but have to wish him good luck against every team but the Giants.
