This is a good thing. It still annoys me that the Jets got to close the old stadium, when they were just tenants. That was the Giants building, and should have been theirs to close.

Why?

Did he not edit his comments?

Let's just say

His comments needed more than editing. They needed to be kept inside his very immature head.

Yes

But only because I did almost exactly the same one. Figured we might as well just have it all in one place. Not because of anything you did wrong.

According to Vacchiano, Giants and Jets will both play in stadium in Week 1

Giants will play on Sunday (didn’t say if it was night), Jets will have Monday night game

I dont Understand

We are in theNFC and they are in the AFC, so why didnt we both close the stadium and open it. That would have been perfect for the fans, owners and nfl especially next season since the jets have stepped their game up and become way more popular than they have been in years.

But dont tell em i told you that !!!!!

by Blue Gates on Mar 15, 2010 5:17 PM EDT up reply actions

the Jets are popular..

cuz of the obscene amount of bandwagon fans in NY, who flip flop among the Giants and Jets whenever one is good that year.

Little do they know, a major Man Law is broken when they do this….

Giants fan until the end but.....

The way we played at the end of the year, we didnt deserve to close it out even tho schedule was made before the begining of the season. The herendous performance that LT, Banks and other Giant legends had to sit through was alarming to say the least……………i could care less who opens or closes a stadium, if we get drummed again in the opener none of it matters.

But dont tell em i told you that !!!!!

by Blue Gates on Mar 15, 2010 5:04 PM EDT reply actions

the coin never lies!!

it will always be giants stadium!!!!

by rcnt123 on Mar 15, 2010 5:39 PM EDT reply actions

The way it should be....

Would they let the Mets open up Yankee Stadium if they had to share a stadium?? No.

by sexyscottish on Mar 15, 2010 6:06 PM EDT reply actions

What's all the hoopla about?

We all know that the only opening of that stadium that matters is the first game we play in it.

We already allowed them to install green lighting for when they play and we were generous enough to invite them when they had no other place to play. They need to learn some respect, the friggin’ AFL expansion club that they are.

The Mara’s and Roney’s made this league what it is. JJ and the rest of the upstarts can get in line.

Rooney's, oops!

Before anybody starts on the Halas’ and other founding families, respect given where due, but it was the Rooney’s and Mara’s who came to organize the league so it would make more money with TV rights and all. Without them the league was on the verge of crashing and burning.

Daniel Rooney

Not only is he one on the pioneers of the nfl, but he is the ambassador to Ireland and will be given the JFK award, in Holyoke MA, for his accomplisments not only in football but in society. This man should be revered in any discussion, he is one of the most important people in the NFL.
