Eli talks Peyton, Super Bowl

Eli Manning was on ESPN Radio 1050 with Michael Kay Monday discussing the disappointment of watching his brother Peyton and the Indianapolis Colts lose the Super Bowl Sunday.

Listen to the full interview here.

Eli had some interesting thoughts on the game-clinching interception by Tracy Porter, and how much his brother means to the Colts.

That would shock me

It would be totally out of character. On the other hand, I bet he wants to beat Peyton in 2010 as much as he wanted the Super Bowl against the Pats.

What did they expect him to say…“Peyton sucked and he deserved to lose?”

Holy mackerel

I am happy that Eli is our QB, he is very shrewd for a young guy.

It wasn't anything in particular

It was more that he had an excellent understanding of what he needed to do. He didn’t talk about making plays, but about what it takes to get the team to the next level as an offense.

QB’s that think with their arm will leave you a bridesmaid too often. It is the brainy guys that end up getting the jewelry.
