gary bracket is an unrestricted free agent this offseason? Is he not perfect for the tampa 2 system, and also a smart, veteran middle linebacker that could be a defensive leader?
how has no one mentioned that yet?
That should be our top target, he is still an elite MLB.
Perfect short term option, rather than reach for a brandon spikes because we are desperate

by Ahmad Bradshaw on Feb 7, 2010 3:14 PM EST reply actions

Although he is 30 years old

if the giants could sign him to a shor term contract that would be a plus considering he already knows the system. cato june also an unrestricted free agent is out there as well and he was fairly successfull in the tampa 2

I liked him

part of the time we had him. He was just too injury prone and was more of a liability on the field because he went from “tough as nails” to “don’t sneeze on me” and then started talking crap. Good riddens I say.

We didn't even have a chance for the "perfect season", but we did have the perfect ending.

Rooting for Saints;

expect Colts to win. Exciting game. Lots of scoring.

Rooting for a great game

I have mixed emotions. Due to Eli, I’m a fan of Peyton. That being said New Orleans is a great city. The fans of the Saints have suffered for decades. They deserve a championship.

IMO the Saints win this game.

New Orleans got several gifts from Minnesota in the NFC Champ game

plus they won’t be facing Brett Favre in this one. I’m going with the Colts.

Like a kickboxing movie

This feels like one of those kickboxing B-movies where the poor kid from the streets (usually American, except played by someone like Tom Cruise, an Aussie) has to fight the big muscular guy (usually a Russian, except played by someone like Arnie S, an Austrian) in the final. In the movies the poor American dude wins after getting roughed up a bit. Today – Brees and the Saints are going to fall apart. I think the Colts will win by 14. The Colts are too experienced, hot on Defense, Manning is playing superbly, and they are confident. I think the Saints have run hot and cold. When they are confident and going forward they are great, but they depend on the opposition making mistakes which the Colts will not do frequently enough to let the Saints into the game.

They've done studies you know, 60% of the time, it works everytime.

Just went party hopping

went to a party that Dave Brazil was at (former Giants defensive coach). Got to see the SB ring. Now THAT brought a smile to my face.

Go Saints (I still love you Peyton).

I didn't know when the game was even starting.

I don’t feel anything for this game. There’s no team that really fascinates me. No storyline captivates me. It’s quite ho-hum.

by GhostDini on Feb 7, 2010 5:52 PM EST reply actions

My storyline is

Sibling Rivalry
Hoping Eli uses this to keep up with Peyton
So go Colts

In my pick'em on another site

I am in the final, and I deliberated long before deciding Colts, 35-27. I am goo with either team winning though ultimately.

Yeah

until that sorry INT. That looked more like something Eli would’ve done at some point in his career.

One thing I hate about living in Canada

I don’t get to see the real Super Bowl Commercials… I get the Canadian ads, which are stock ads or they just suck.

Are there no viable, younger rock bands?

Tom Petty, Springsteen, The Who. We need some younger guys who aren’t straining to hit the high notes and have some real excitement left in their bones. This was silly.

by FreeBradshaw on Feb 7, 2010 8:23 PM EST reply actions

I guess I don't feel as bad about losing to the Saints

great game. They did to the Colts what we did to the Bills in SB 25, kept the Colts off the field. Reminded me a lot of that game. Like the Colts today the Bills had a good ofensive game in 1990 but were not on the field enoough to score points.

Sean Payton showed some balls. Onside kick going for it on 4th down, he did a great job. Brees has been one of the best in the NFL for years now he has the hardware good for him.

The only bad thing is Shockey catching a TD.

by Landeta on Feb 7, 2010 9:59 PM EST reply actions

I'm dissapointed

I was rooting for the Colts, but could care less if they won or not. This game stunk. It didn’t feel like a superbowl. It felt like another game with no urgency. The only good part of this game was the onside kick at the beginning of the 2nd half.

It feels like a crime that in the 2nd and beginning of the 3rd quarter, Peyton only touched the ball like twice.

This season stunk.

Oh and the Who did better than I expected them to do

or “Half the Who” as I was calling them.

I love the who, but I had nothing but a bad feeling about how it would end up. Did pretty well imo

That was a hell of a game...

Wanted the Colts to win, but not mad at Brees getting a SB. Wasn’t the “aerial show” most expected, even if there were a ton of pass yards

Figures…all year the team I wanted to win, didn’t.

Congrats to the Saints and their fans. I guess Bourbon street’s alcohol stash is gonna be tested!

Colts

played well initially but gave up too much in the end. To me they were the better team, but the Saints just played better.

We didn't even have a chance for the "perfect season", but we did have the perfect ending.

by GAgiantfan on Feb 7, 2010 10:13 PM EST reply actions

Saints made all of the big plays

Colts did not. It was kinda like the NFC champ game. Saints just hung in there and played tough and took andvantage of every opportunity they got. Brees has been elite since 2004 now maybe he’ll actually get the respect he deserves. If I here anyone say Roethlisberger or Rivers are better than him I’m going to go nuts.

And another franchise wins a SB before the Eagles. NICE!

by Landeta on Feb 7, 2010 10:59 PM EST up reply actions

New York Giants, making Super Bowl winning coaches since 1925

Vince Lombardi – 2 SBs
Tom Landry – 2 SBs
Bill Parcells – 2 SBs
Bill Belichick – 3 SBs
Sean Payton – 1 SB

Yeah, we like NFL here in Brazil.
