With LDT now announcing he'll most likely definitely be gone from SD...
...would anyone here be in favor of the Gmen picking him up?
He could be a pretty sick 3rd down back and a guy with a nose for the endzone in the redzone -- and possibly could be had without much competition in signing him. With some of the injuries our backs have been dealing with it could be good to spell some 3rd down carries. Part of the contract would have to be that he renounces his own use of the nickname LT though (har har).
Thoughts?

No.
cost too much, and the Giants have 3-4 other options that are on the roster or RFA’s and they could draft someone in the 7th round or UDFA to be more effective and cost a whole lot less.
Absolutely pass on this.
Rectum? Damn near killed em!
I agree -
Not to mention the whining and crying from Jacobs and maybe even Bradshaw. I have a feeling one or both of them would pull an Osi in this situation. And maybe rightfully so. Don’t know if three backs like that could co-exist. But you know what they say about too many weapons – right, that you can never have too many.

Yeah - I think you are correct.
LDT was pretty much crap last yr and had like 1 good game.

Don't want him
He’s getting up there, even though I believe some of his awfulness was the OL, some of it was him too.
Never assume skill at bouncing a ball makes you smarter than the guy who built the court.
When there's a WILL there's a WAY
It would be a horrible move
When would he be used? Jacobs has a big contract and needs to live up to it. Bradshaw played admirably with many injuries and deserves to get more touches. Andre Brown was expected to contribute this year but couldn’t due to injury so getting him right next season is paramount.
No dice
Sure he will be a HoF but he is way past his prime and has lots of nagging injuries that probably still nag him from time to time.
Why would we want him?
It makes no sense. Yes…he WAS a great player, but now he is just average. I would not start him above Bradshaw at this point. Do not get me wrong, I think in the right scenario he could have 1-2 good years left. But with a re-tooled o-lne nd hopefully a healthy Jacobs AND Bradshaw, there is no room for him. There’s no point in addition when there are other areas of need.
No, he's finished.
