PrintI had to do something today I have not done in quite a while. I banned two relatively new members of the community who seemed to want to belittle and personally attack anyone who disagreed with them.
If you are new here -- and even if you are not -- please re-read the Community Guidelines.
This site has become a success because it has a reputation as a classy place for intelligent, friendly discussion about the New York Giants. I will not allow it to become just another place on the Internet where morons run amok, screaming at and belittling anyone who dares disagree with them.
If that is what you want to do, there are plenty of places on the Internet where you can. This is NOT one of them. We are all friends here, and if you can't treat people with some respect I suggest you simply keep your opinions to yourself.

I came onto this blog because I got sick and tired of all the BS on the Ledger’s blog. Even though I like Mike Garofalo, the people who post always start insulting one another. Event tho my tag is MisterFurious, I like to engage in real discussions about Giants football. Thanks for maitaining some order

I used to post on sites like NJ.com and Dailynews.com about the G-Men and it was your typicall crap, people yelling and threatening others on-line. Thats why I joined this site intellegent discussion with good rapport among the guests.

I say do so in a manner that fits the community we have set up
if you are gonna rib them, do it in a fun and playful way, as opposed to blatant trolling and name calling. Do unto others as the saying goes.
Checking BBV
has become a routine for me. I get in to work, take a sip of coffee, check my emails, and then head straight here. Ed, thanks for giving us all something to look forward to each day. And also thanks to all the BBV members for always contributing intelligent and insightful info. Sometimes I can hardly keep up with those of you that run amok on here!

I found this space because my first blog was getting overrun by pin heads looking to engage in flame wars.
As if being the toughest guy in cyberspace was some kind of accomplishment.

the problem is the rest of the net is a cess pool. don’t get me wrong i’m no choir boy(i’m listening to Howard Stern as i type!) but it becomes childish and unneccesary when you make an intelligent point and your rebutted with “your a f—, a-hole” and the like. anyone ever read youtube comments? the N-bomb is dropped constantly.
point is, there is a reason why i check this site daily. and this is the reason why. good job Ed.

But that (towel-head remark) is just wrong. Not only is it silly to mock someone by their appearance, but it also implies that you are OK with NON towel headed terrorists.

The few times I go over to the website, they seem to be very hypocritical about things. The week before they played the vikings, I was on the viking site and every other poster would be a Cowboy fan saying how much the vikes sucked and that they would be destroyed. When the Vikes beat the ’boys, the first thing BTB did was put up a notice asking viking fans not to troll.

Now I’m not saying all of their fans are bad. There were 1 or 2 guys who were actually attempting to have a discussion with the vike guys, but overwhelmingly most of the “fans” were pretty bad.

I never read anything he posted out there that seemed insulting, and he is always nice on our site..they think of him as a ‘troll’ for some reason..May have been something long before I joined this site that has them riled up.

It’s the way to be. Besides, there’s no law against class. Keep it going the way it’s going; if you need to put the boot in the crack of anyone’s crack, go ahead. Even if it’s mine!
And by the way, good things are going on here. This place is one I highly recommend, even to rival fans – I figure they might learn how to agree, disagree, and compose their arguments in a fact based, friendly manner. They also might learn how to take one on the chin lol
We didn't even have a chance for the "perfect season", but we did have the perfect ending.
