Adjusted Comeback Efficiency

If you haven't heard of Football Outsiders, you should definitely check it out. Its full of advanced statistics and math that most of the time I don't understand, but the conclusions and commentary it has is great for all diehard football fans.

Anyways, they came out with a new rating that literally determines "clutchness" in a mathematical stat wizard way. And guess who's #1? None other than our boy Eli Manning. This is pretty much confirmation of what many of us giant fans have been preaching and other teams have been turning a blind eye to.

Now if only our defense will let Eli get back to being Mr. Clutch and stop blowing games.

There also pretty funny

from the front page

Guest columnist Nicholas Higgins proposes a new statistic to free us from the endless cavalcade of “quarterback comeback” graphics: Adjusted Comeback Efficiency. Eli Manning approves.

As do I

Never assume skill at bouncing a ball makes you smarter than the guy who built the court.

You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you are going, because you might not get there

Nice post

Brings me back to the first Dallas game this season when Eli drove all the way downfield which allowed Tynes to kick the game winning FG. Hopefully our D will be 150% better next season then we’ll win games we’re supposed to like the SD game.

The haters

will not be happy!

But I am. At the very least the networks should talk about the comeback %. That would be better that just the number that they use.
