The Lions have halted the distribution of free tickets to tonight's game because of an "overwhelming response".....Going to be interesting to see what the atmosphere is like at Ford Field tonight.

I expect it to be stooopid loud.
Not that Lions tickets were THAT expensive ( maybe for lux seats) but when you have fans that have paid nothing for tickets, you tend to get the more live crowd. Im looking forward to the turnout.
In other news. Bradley and Graham are done for the year in PHilly. Do you think thats going to have much of an impact on our next meeting ( or the rest of there season)?
"they try to do what he do, and been where he's been, but they get folded in two.....he's the dude"
Well, not to look ahead too much, but I think the Giants game plan should be to keep the Eagles depleted defense on the field as long as possible. Pound the ball, pound the ball, pound the ball, and when you’re done doing that, pound the ball some more. Hell, hand off to Boothe if you have to. Leave that defense exhausted, bloodied and most of all beaten.
Early weather forecasts calling for rain/snow on Sunday. If the Giants are lucky, that will be accompanied by a 40 or 50 MPH wind that is in Dogboy Vick’s face all day.
It’s going to be a great game, but first things first.

First things first indeed
The Vikings are the only thing we should be worried about right now.
It’s easily the most important game of the season to date, so beating them is the only thing that matters as of today.
Beat the Vikings.

Yes, first things first...
Giants should come out with a W tonight. Bradley and Graham being done for the Eagles hurts them, but I think the Giants will actually have more success throwing the ball then running it.
Eagles have been very good against the run this year…even after Bradley and Graham went out last night.

Vick has a WAY stronger arm than Eli
The wind will hurt us more than the Eagles.

Remind me
how many SB has the Eagles won? How many have the Giants? Eli? Vick?

Just having a little fun, Frank. Relax. But just for fun, I’ll answer your questions: 0, 3, 1, 0.
Now, of the past 5 Eagles-Giants matchups, how many have the Giants won? I can’t help but notice you’re also a Mets and Rangers fan. Who has won the NL East each of the past 4 years? The World Series in 2008? Who ended the Rangers season last year? I think we’re at the root of your quick-twitch sensitivity to a Philly fan commenting over here.
Now now Jimbo
Can’t come over here and bash father Eli and expect to get nothing in return.
It’s a big enough sand box, take your Tonka and go play with the other boys.
Beat the Vikings.

What happened in the 2009 WS?
Who’s your daddy, Pedro?

Yeah, I don’t think any Philly fans really give a crap about the “Who’s your daddy” thing. That’s a Boston – NY thing. We don’t care about some quote Pedro made like 8 years ago WAY before the Phils signed him as a half-year rental.
That whole "Who's your daddy" thing
Doesn’t really bother Red Sox fans either, considering the last time it was chanted by Yankee fans, the Red Sox were on their way to winning game 7 of the 2004 ALCS.

as a Mets-Giants-Islanders-Knicks fan
my teams STILL outnumber your teams in titles won since I was born (1984), despite 3/4 of my teams being pretty crappy for most of my life. Ouch.
2009 Did Not Happen
by like 7 months
and c’mon, admit it: you’d have preferred to see the Eagles beat the undefeated Patriots in Super Bowl XLII than the Phillies beat the lowly Devil Rays in a rain-marred World Series.
2009 Did Not Happen
when does that start?

completely agreed.
"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
LET'S GO RANGERS!!!
Graham’s injury is horrible for the long term. As you all should know, it takes a few years for DE’s to recover from ACL tears. However, Graham’s loss isn’t too devastating in the short term, since Philly has some depth at DE.
Bradley’s injury is a disaster in the short term, because MLB is a rare position where the Eagles don’t have good depth. The Giants will almost certainly test Jamar Chaney early and often.
sorry about Grahams and SBs loss
thats 2 of the top 3 DEs coming out this yr that are out with knees.. hope JPPs not next.
I may not be the most noble of men but in a town of lepers, im the one with the most fingers.
Yeah Stewart Bradley is a huge loss
He is a very good MLB and seems to be getting better as the season goes on. Graham like you said isnt as big a loss for this year assuming Parker stays healthy. It does hurt his development and pretty much makes him a non factor for next year. Hopefully he can bounce back.

Is there any more info on who's carrying the game on TV?
All I’ve heard so far is stuff about DirectTV’s Sunday ticket. I don’t have that package and will HATE to have to “read” the game online.
If there is a site on the web that will be showing the game live, I’d love to hear about it. Thanks in advance!!
VERY COOL!!!
Thanks for the lead!!
I couldn’t imagine having to be pacing around the living room like a tiger in a cage, waiting for the stupid play list to update every 5 minutes!! SOMETHIN’ would end up broken by the end of the night I’m sure!!
Giants crowd?
I would expect the Detroit fans to root for the Giants over a division rival. Avoiding the metrodome crowd helps our offense a lot. The loss of prep time for Philly sucks though.

No matter who most of the fans want to win, it’s not like the entire stadium will be screaming at the top of their lungs when someone is trying to convert a 3rd and 8. I think it will be very quiet.
It's cold and Detroit sucks
They could be drunk and rowdy, but yeah, I doubt there will be any crowd-induced false starts. Curious to see how many make the trip from Minny or however far their fans extend towards Detroit.

Also curious to see how many Giants fans fly out to Detroit.
why they stopped giving tickets away for free
I have a friend who lives in Detroit. He said they stopped giving out free tickets because mojority of people in line were homeless and they were turning around trying to scalp them for $50 bucks lol. And i would be surprisd to see a lot of people make the trip from Minny, weather is awful there snowing and very windy in all of midwest.
FREE FreeBradshaw!!!!!!
ill be there
Go to U of M, huge giants fan from NY, free tickets. Ill Let u all know wat its really likee
